EDIT: Ok, disregard the "ending" part...
When you look back on your dance experience what will you best remember it for?
For me many things, but one thing that will really stand out is all the wonderful people that I met. I have to say that my best people experience has been through dancing.

Well ok, just when you look back on things period.
By ending, I meant when we get to the point physically due to age that we just can't move around like we use to. Some will stop dancing and of course there are those who will continue to dance as much as limitations will allow.
May it be a very long time before this.

Dancing will never end for me!
I heard a question this morning on one of the morning shows asking would you want to live to 100? The first answer that came into my head was, only if I can still dance!!
So the answer is, there is no end, if I can't dance, I'll be dead.

I personally intend to live forever, and dance forever.

As I always say, "why let reality interfere?"

I've made up my mind, please don't confuse me with facts.

Somehow I'm guessing that if any of us could manage to make our way through life fact-free, it would be you Devin!

What's so great about facts anyways? All they ever do is get in the way of fun :P

I am really sorry to be the serious one here........but not very long ago, I used to think EXACTLY like you, NeoDevin. I thought I was invincible....feeling the total emotional freedom after so long, I just KNEW I will dance forever!
Now I know better. I REALLY cherish my dancing since I found out that I may not be able to dance forever.
It's somehow become a motivation for me, and I am so much more focused now then I have ever been.
My best memories will be the extrodinary talents and souls I've been fortunate enough to meet (DF family included 8) ). It's a real previledge to be living salsa as a lifestyle. I will do my best to live this way, dancing or not.....
(now I just need to have some kind of video recording happening so I have some moving memoirs....)

I don't plan to ever stop dancing. I've recently learned just how connected dance is to everything else I've done...I've spent many years studying body movement of one kind or another, and I don't see myself giving up dance anytime in the foreseeable future.
My best memory is very simple - my first dance class! I'll never forget standing outside the building that the studio was in, arguing with myself as to WHY I wanted to learn to dance. As I was going up the stairs...a cha-cha tune came on and I felt the music speak to me...although I was fighting it and nearly ran out of the building!
A few minutes later I was doing the Salsa basic with a beautiful girl in my arms...and by the end of class I said to myself "I can't believe I was afraid to do this...dancing is fun!"
The moment of my first dance with that particular girl will always remain with me...I'll take the memory of it to my grave. :P
