So yea. i'm a highschool [boy] student and i just came back from the junior prom like 10 min ago

it was really really awkward and i had no clue what i was doing or anything..

could anyone give me some advice? people were telling me to relax and all but.. just relaxing doesnt help either... so yea i would like some advice if possible :)

and though i know this is a music forum but could someone recommend me some good songs to listen too as well? [i havent been much of a music listener cuz i never had good earphones until now :P]

i believe most of the songs that i will hear for the next dances will have some hiphop, rap, etc..techno

thank you

First of all, welcome to DF.:D
Secondly. Don't feel bad about the school prom. Basically most, if not all proms are like that. Which is why you will remember this when you're 20 and laugh a lot. ;)
Now, as far as the dancing is concerned you could take a number of different classes. Hip hop is the obvious choice. Salsa will give you that partner dance element that's very important. Basically, when your friends say relax they don't realise how hard it can be. I certainly couldn't relax at first. Dance classes help not only with giving you a "repertoire" of moves, they most importantly make you feel comfortable with your own body and moving to the music. I've never done anything but ballroom and salsa, and yet I can freestyle to hip hop music as much as I want.
I'm not good with the songs, but a good idea would be to ask your friends to burn you a cd with their favourite music.
Hope this helps. Good luck! :D

Well first off i have a long ways to go till im 20 x)
and then i have a slight problem with going to dance class... mostly time issues. i was going to join a new club that my friends made "dance club" [such an artistic name]
so yea...

but i guess i should ask my friends about burning their fav songs ^-^
