Hey guys. :D

As many of you know, I had my medal exams a week ago. I didn't do too badly (thanks for asking) but I've been mulling over one of the written comments quite a bit. The following comment was for my Paso Doble:

"Upper body toning would help assist in visualising this dance".

Could someone please tell me what the heck this guy's on about? I would ask my coach but my next dancing lesson is in 18 days (not like I'm counting or anything..) and, If I need to tone my upper body, I would like to know sooner.

Thanks for any replies.

MBB.

Hmmm. That's a pretty cryptic comment. Does he mean that you need to have more tone in your upper body when you dance Paso? Or does he mean that you need to do toning exercises to strengthen your upper body? Not sure what either one has to do with "visualizing" a dance.

Push-ups are a pretty good exercise for overall toning of the upper body.

I have no idea! I wish he'd been more specific. I don't want to do weights and such to find that that's not what he really meant.

seems goofy to me...I would ask...my best guess would be that perhpas your arm styling was a bit too gentle and fluid for paso...but...well...it is a vague comment...you certainly have the right to inquire and I would

I don't think he is asking you to go lift weights... but the tone with which you carry yourself.

Thanks guys. I will ask about it. I didn't think he'd be asking a 13 year old to do weights. Thanks again for you responses, now back to work!
