astairephoto.com working for anyone else?

Topic about explains it. Looking to find some pictures from Chicago nationals this year (two studnets from my studio who compete dand then pictures of friends from another studio). Site doesn't seem to be workign from here though.

Yeah, unfortunately Astairephoto has been down at least since the Chicago National Comp... I sent a couple of e-mails to their site admin... haven't heard anything about it... I have no idea what's going on with it.

I think they may have switched Photographers.

I am not sure if FADS uses the same photographers for all events but yes the last New England Comp we attended had a photographer change. The new photographer was the best comp photographer I have ever experienced in our 12 years of doing comps. I dont think the forum guidelines allow me to provide a link to thier website but the company is Haessly Photos, that I am sure you can google.

Haessly is local to us (he did the Worcester one and the Mystic one), I don't beleive he's branched out. From chatting with him at most events, it sounds like a lot of his work previously was youth league ice hockey. So while he had never shot dance events before he was used to stopping high speed motion, as well as having a remarkable eye for good shots, even without having the experience to "anticipate" the good dance lines.
