How many events can you handle in one night?

Despite aching feet and painfully sore calves (from dancing until the wee hours of the morning the day before) I broke my rather sombre record last night and went to three different dancing events.

I started with Argentine tango (6pm), then went to a salsa bar (9pm) and finished the night with a few hours of ballroom (11pm)...what's your record for places visited/events attended in one evening?

Been to a ballroom group lesson and dance and left 2 hours later for a country western dance. So, for me it is 2 events.

I regularly will attend 2 events a night and have done 3 occasionally but normally I have to leave one early or get to one late. Normal 3 dance nights for me are split 7-9/10;
9/10-11/12;
11/12-close the night out
I prefer to just go to one great event however.

God, you've got some great stamina. I can only do 2. I used to go out to a social on Sundays from 5PM to 9PM, then head over to the club from 10PM to 2AM. But after that... I can't handle much more. My gas tank is running on fumes, the oil pan has been leaking, the radiator doesn't cool the engine any longer, and the wheels are flat. The only way to go home is to take a tow truck in the form of my Lady Love.

5-2 dancing wow that's an incredible amount of dancing. Actually splitting up the night makes it easier for me to dance for longer time in a night. If I have to take an hour to go from one place to another that is an hour I get to rest. The longest time I have spent at a dance event was 5 hours (8:30-1:30) but that was one event, after that I just wanted to collapse.

I have danced from say 9 to 4 in the morning, with breaks in between...non-stop about 3.5 hours is the most that I have done. I have done 3 events a couple times, but again I would have to miss part of the events to attend them all, and I do also prefer one great event.

I LOVE multiple events in one day....especially if they are well-timed & I don't miss anything :D !

I do 2-3 places regularly on Sundays, at least in summer months. From about 5pm-1am these days.

A few mths ago, we had one of those Sundays when EVERYTHING was on. There was a salsa picnic (at 35 degree C heat :roll: ) 12-5, then regular salsa on the beach starting at 5pm.....then there was a band launch at this posh venue 7.30-10.30, then my favourite salsa/latin jazz venue for some serious descarga til 1am. I was hosting a dance instructor from Perth during that weekend.....boy, did he have a good snapshot of salsa in Melbourne :shock: !

Another event came to mind was our MS Danceathorn I helped organised. The event started at 1pm Sat then went til at least 3am Sunday. While most people didn't managed to salsa non-stop, the dance floor was pretty packed most of the time 8) ! (then I went to Snowboy(fr UK)'s gig, but passed out on the couch :roll: :lol: )
