I was at a book store last week and saw a book on Dancing with the Stars. It had some interesting workout routines in it. I was wondering if anyone has tried them and what they thought of them before I go out and buy the book.
Thanks!

Welcome S2B. I saw that book too at Barnes and Noble, through a quick glance I just saw a lot of stuff about certain routines couples did throughout the show then really really basic dance stuff towards the end. Probably not something a seasoned dancer could really use. Could be interesting to read more about the show if you're really into it.

What would be a good workout for a seasoned dancer? Is there a good DVD to get or a class to attend or a book to read?

For working out I just use my elliptical machine and/or do typical stretches, sit-ups, and lift some free weights. Dancing in the studio is one thing, and it can surely work someone into a sweat, but it's also good to do some routine cardio exercises, such as running, biking...
But if you want to do something dance related, there is the Dancing with the Stars Cardio Dance DVD, I found it on Amazon and reviewers said you do need some dance experience to follow along with the instructors. This may be something you'd be interested in.
I checked the book out from the local library. The pictures and articles in the first part of the book were fun to look at. But I didn't find the exercise routine in the back of the book particularly helpful.

Hi, new to the forum. Just love DWTS going to the tour tomorrow night in Milwaukee WI. Saw the video game. Was surprised at how the computer generated figures look so real. All the guys look very stiffed necked, but the girls look great. Can't wait to see the tour

Welcome JodiD. Make sure you post on the DWTS tour thread what you thought of the tour after you see it tomorrow.
It isn't coming to our area this year and this would have been the year I thought about going. Last year, when it DID come here, the timing wasn't right. Darn.

JodiD are you just visiting the Milwaukee area right now? I'm not going to the show, but have fun! I've played the video game myself, some of the characters are odd looking, Bruno especially.
