Holy crap, I should get into that business. Can't imagine there before more than 4 gross (probably noticably less) of ss16/ss20 stones on a shoe. Even if you figure 4 gross of color AB, that still leaves $525 to cover labor after cost of stones. Either they're REALLY slow, or you're paying a LOT for labor. :) Or I guess they might use really expensive glue. :D

talk about having money to burn. but let's put things in perspective...

there's certainly a market for shoes in that price range... it sure ain't me, tho!

lol... you don't like manolos? or you mean the rhinestoned sandals... on that account i would definitely agree...Don't like either one. The manolos are just too...girly-frou-frou.

(I do like the costume they're showing to match the rhinestoned sandals, though. That's pretty sweet.)

lol. that's why i like them, i guess. the girly part. not the frou-frou.

See, I look at them and just think of CiF's. Some of their stuff is just as girly, just as frou-frou...but I can vouch for their comfort and wear-ability (given that they're designed for dancing, they're certainly functional), and they're under $200/pair.

yes, i've made that association as well. comfort AND prettiness...

wonder what glue they use? i would think that passing your feet together would quickly knock the stones off of the inside-side of the heel cup/vamp . . .

I cant get over the fact that bloch is the brand. If it were supadance or dance naturals maybe - but bloch for $575? I know a lady that does this type of work and it is time consuming but I think at the most she charged $300-350- this included the price of the shoes.

btw-
I'm sure bloch has a good ballroom shoes but the retail cost is at the most $100.

Oh, no Kitty it's better than that... you have to send them YOUR shoes! So they can be whatever brand you prefer. :)

Wow, that is outrageous!!! Hey, I'll do it for half that!

Yeah, and half the rhinestones will be scraped off after a few rounds of hard dancing. Stoning where your shoes naturally rub together is stoopid!

Heh, wonder if they'll do sneakers... I'll send them some size 13 high tops.

I found this auction and thought the exact same thing - I'll rub the stones clean off the inside edges of the shoes! There is no way those stones will stay put.

They did do a nice job with stoning them though. Very nice. :)
