Its mystical how passion sways the senses
How it melts, breaks down and dissolve all fences
Makes one rise above, going beyond established defences
The passion of a glance, the witt, the romance, the passion of chance
All role into one through a sensual salsa, the lady of dance
Salsa, my lady,
How many a night have you saved my sanity?
How many a time have you stirred my vanity?
So many instances, of joy, freedom you unfailingly provide
time after time between mind and soul where hearts reside
My lady, you are and forever shall be
my guide to beauty, art and a passion of the utmost degree :P
Ooooh mamamiyaaa.. salsa caliente .. salsa mi corazon!
Please feel free to compliment Lady Salsa any way u wish on here! :D

Wow....! Ever considered writing lyrics for salsa songs....?
*did you know that there was (maybe still is) a musical from Cuba called Lady Salsa.......? The band that plays in the show is called Sonora la Calle. This show was based in London then toured Australia*
(sorry, just HAD to share this.....it brings great memories to many of us)

The show is still around! Something made me look it up on the weekend. It is playing in Germany this month, from recollection.

So you've seen it then.....? Some of the cast members must still be in UK. We've got some here as well. One of them (who now has a new family here) is back with the group in Germany right now.......

I AGREE :!: Salsa lyrics are MEANT to be in Spanish....a little English here & there could be fun, but that's it.
I need to improve my Spanish to do many things.......singing used to be one, writing salsa lyrics used to be another
.......but for now, I'll need to concentrate on getting myself OUT of trouble (I know just enough Spanish to get myself IN trouble   )!

No I haven't  it closed with very little notice so I could not get there in time  but yes, two of the cast members are here in the UK and they are awesome dancers. I will try and get ahold of some photos a friend has. These photos capture them beautifully, I think - SDsalsaguy is still the greatest photographer though  :D

I have uploaded some photos in the Photo Album of two of the cast members from Lady Salsa who stayed on in the UK, from a performance they did. They are great, incredible, amazing dancers! Hope you like them.

Salsachinita knows that I'm trying to find a way to get down to Oz for a couple of months in my fall/their spring.... the problem is that I need something to bring in some $ while I'm down there, either from an academic or a photography angle....

Are you aware that there will be a salsa congress in Sydney around end of October? I think Albert Torres might be involved in that, either co-organised or supported by?

Thanks for the photos, Pacion...!
I havn't met these two, as they have stayed in UK instead of coming down here with the rest of the company (you know how it is  ).
I miss everybody on that show. The energy they injected into our lives could not possibily be expressed by my humble words :notworth: :notworth: :notworth: !
Some of the members are also here in Australia, still spreading their influences into our community :D ........
In case any of you might be interested, the band is called Sonora la Calle......I wonder if you could get hold of the soudtracks :? .....

Don't quote me, but I think the soundtrack is available on CD.
On one of the websites I found on the weekend, there were soundbites. There was a song that I recognised from the clubs and hadn't realised that it was "from"/connected with Lady Salsa. It is a great song!

It is 8) ! I have a signed copy.
Most of the songs on there are covers, performed by Sonora la Calle for the show. A couple of them by Orishas, but I personally prefer Sonora la Calle's version (ok, I am biased)!
