Oliver and Luda choreographed this but I'm wondering if they had any say in the music selection or not. :|

@#@&%? Not only is that song NOT salsa, it's awful. The choreography isn't all that great either. :(

Generally the music is chosen by TV people, who seem to have decided that the public won't understand, or don't deserve, dances danced to the correct music. I can't watch those shows any more, mostly because of the music selection.

It sounds more like a Samba ( ? ) come whatever and nothing had ANY relationship to Salsa .
The sad part ? -- this is the impression Joe public gets and does zero to promote the genre .
I also do realise that its for TV-- but--
no one will ever convince me that an authentic salsa from the numerous choices available, would fail to excite the general public even more .
And lastly-- the pro. probably wouldnt know Cuban or street style from a Waltz !
Expanding this a little - I don't know if any of the rest of you have gotten a chance to watch this show, but I don't like a lot of the song choices.

Using reggaeton for a samba during the top 18 rubbed me the wrong way. It reminded me far too much of the modified Queen song for last season's paso doble with Jesus and Sara. :headwall:
