I was looking at some comp results and there were columns labeled "1, 1-2, 1-3" etc. for each couple. What do these mean? Thanks.

This sounds like the infamous rule-11 which comes in when rule 10 (who won the most dances) is tied.

If you search for rule 11 you will find a recent thread where we discussed it in some detail.

It's not necessarily the case that rule 11 came into play, it's sometimes just how the info regarding marks are laid out. Looking at the rule 11 discussion should explain it, though, since I think the entire marking system was explained there!

"1" is the number of first place marks received, "1-2" is the number of first and second place marks, "1-3" is the number of first, second and third place marks. Basically, if a couple doesn't have a majority of the judges first-place marks, they move on to "first plus second" totals, and so on.
