I just got emailed from ballroomdancingchannel.com(?) about live broadcast of the 2008 blackpool comp. Has anyone experience this? Can you save the video on the harddrive? What format do they use? Is the quality good on a 19 inch monitor?
thank you in advance.

I saw it last year. It was nice...I mean, just the fact that I got to see it was amazing so I was grateful for everything. It's pretty good quality...One time it got to a certain place and froze, though, which was annoying because then I had to re-watch it. I would suggest the not live broadcast, because if you want to watch it again, you have the option. It's pretty expensive though...:(

thanks for the comment. I tried but only audio and no video on the free stuff. I tried to follow procedure in the help section but my computer say everythings is configured right. I wonder if anyone else has this problem

ah, you mean thedancingchannels, yeah had an email from them too and its a whole lot cheaper than last year. quality is great, did have some issues with the codec but uninstalling and reinstalling sorted that

Were you able to save the video or is it a one time thing? Still trying to reconfigure my codec and quicktime

its live and once its gone its gone. but last year they did make them available as video-on-demand (vod) afterwards which you have access to for 24 hours from the first time you watch. you can't keep it, but for £2.99 its worth it

I bet there would be ways to save it . . . I saw one from last year's broadcast saved.

I'd like to know how to save the videos. But seems like they are played in flash player. Am I right?

Could always use the brute force approach... camcorder pointed at the computer.
