Enjoyed reading this interview. Thanks for posting where to find it!

P.S. Enjoyed the movie, too!

Oh, no, DancePoet...I'm sounding more and more like a tango movie snob. This is another film that didn't quite take me. I found it far too indulgent, but people seem to love it. I'm going to go back to movie review school. :)

But the interview was great, BTM. Thanks for posting it.

Yes, in places it was a little too artsy for my liking. However, the music was fabulous, and the tango was terriffic! That one part where the three guys dance with Sally, wicked awesome! And Pablo Veron is spectacular with his tap dance scene, too!

Ditto. That tap-dancing scene added yet another entry on my dances-to-learn-when-I've-got-a-day-free list. :) And you're right, that scene with the three of them was astounding. Imagine practicing for that.

Watching Gregory Hines tap dance when I was younger made me want to learn. Never did. But seeing Pablo Veron do his thing in this movie makes me want to give it a try as well! Maybe I will.

I thought the movie was boring and longwinded. I thought the dancing was magnificant though.

Just watched this film again recently and caught more pieces of the story I hadn't caught the last time. I like it even better then before, and I appreciate the Argentine Tango scenes even more, too! :D

Sounds like a good movie! I think I'm going to have to see it 8). Is it available for rent yet? Or is it brand new :?:

You might be able to find this in a video rental store, and i suspect it can be found through a video retail store, too.

Its what got me interested. A friend lent me the video and I thought I liked the look of what they're doing and hunted for tango class and four years later here I am.. still dancing tango and finding there's still more to learn and improve!

It sounds like you mean "The Tango Lesson" got you interested in Argentine Tango?

Two thoughts:

(1.) I was referring to tap dance
(2.) My how things have changed for me, I'm now doing Argentine Tango lessons, but still haven't taken up tap dance, yet. :)
