I'm competing saturday afternoon in newcommer and pre-bronze rumba cha cha and swing.

I'll be there Friday dancing silver standard and latin scholarships (and single-dance events), and Sat doing 2 rhythm entries in open silver. This comp is my year anniversary of pro/am comps...I'm excited!

i'll be there friday, too... silver standard and dancesport. i recall you dance A, so we won't be on the floor together. but would love to meet you this time. :)

will be there saturday as well... my friend is competing smooth, and then pro competes that nite. are you sticking around?

Friday's schedule is allegedly:

1-5 pm: Pro-Am Standard syllabus, Am/Am syllabus, Am/Am open, Pro-Am scholarship, World Pro-Am championship

6-10 pm: Pro-Am Latin syllabus, showcases, Am/Am pre-champ, Pro-Am scholarship, World Pro-Am championship

Aww... I wish I was going friday night to see you guys but I most likely work that night. I'll be there saturday afternoon. I'll have to keep an eye out for those of you competing in american rhythm. I'd love to meet some fellow DFers. It'll be easy to see me. I'm competing in my glasses sadly as I'm unable to get contacts at this point.

*heh* my amateur partner said I should try dancing without my contacts in so I can't see what's going on around me.... I have a tendency to react to any possible collision by putting on the brakes or otherwise stiffening up to redirect him accordingly. He says he should be the one to take care of such things. Sorry, but I've been hit, bumped, smashed, and stepped on too many times for me not to take my bodily welfare into my own hands sometimes :p

My mother and I are going on Friday. Both of us will be joining the fun!!! It's going to be exciting. Last year was very nice.

Thanks, and yep, I'm dancing A. I'll be in a royal blue dress for standard (and I actually have floats this time), and in my new hot pink dress for latin. (My name's Michelle if you see me)

I'm thinking about sticking around for the pro comp part. I just have to see money-wise if I can swing it.

The schedule is up. I got to see my heat liist and all my heats are between 1-2. I'm on for three dances in a row 30 min off then the other three in a row lol.

irritating, as they also have not sent that info to my pro, so i have to leave early to be there by the start of the session just in case, although i'm probably a good hour in...grrr

Phew... just got home a lil while ago. Had sooo much fun. But now I am exhausted lol. I think my fishnets did some serious resurfacing of my legs. ouch. comfy pants for a while.

My dances went really well. met a lot of great people. Placed 3rd in three of my six dances. Didn't place in teh others. But overall am really proud of myself. Something I learned about myself is that I'm nervous up untill I get in the ballroom then I'm perfectly calm. lol.

Now, that my first comp is done I wanna do another. However, after a nice long nap lol.

Umm not as of yet. I don't have a lesson this week because I'll be out of town on tuesday but next lesson i'll be talking to my teacher about it.

Congrats btw on your own placings!
