well i have worked with alot of coaches ranging from jus regular pro's to world class coaches and today was by far the best day of coaching ever. i brought inn taliat to coach my students and he was just superb. very clear on what he wanted and the technique he was displaying. great choreography and just a really nice guy. will def be bringing him back and if i can ever find a rhythm partner i def want him as a main coach.
so who is it that you all like to work with.

I enjoy different coaches for different reasons...some for technique, some for art, some for choreo...and I have benefited from all of them in some way
I've liked most of the coaches I've had. There is at least one unprofessional coach whom I will never work with again though she still judges me. Years ago, she took it upon herself to put one of my students in their place. It was way out of line, and I lost the student. Famous coach too! But I'll not name her. I always smile when I see her, but I never received an apology. She thinks she's a goddess of dance, when actually she's a demon who was made and carried by her former partner.

I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience with that coach. Sounds horrible.:bkick: It must have been really bad to loose a student to her but I can't say that I am not too surprised. I have run into some individuals that I can say I would never work with and I think it's sad. I don't care how good you are, if you are just flat out rude you ain't gettin my hard earned money! It's not worth it if that individula is going to take the fun out of dancing for me.
I've liked pretty much all of the coaches my team has brought in. Our "main" coach is a lot of fun and pretty easy to learn from (but sometimes he doesn't spend enough time on the follower's parts). We also have Helle Rusholt? in quite often and she is a phenomenal Latin coach. We've had Suzanne Hamby? (I'm probably mangling their names, I'm sorry!) in a few times and she's always AMAZING. A couple little pokes from her (not even as hard as "pokes"!) and my frame gets sooo much better.
But my ultimate favorite pro is Rita Gekhman. She is just... I don't know, I loved the few lessons I had with her.

Jason Gilkingson and Leeanne Bampton. Best two coaches a person could hope for.
Helle Rusholt? ... Suzanne Hamby? (I'm probably mangling their names, I'm sorry!)
You spelled them right. ;)

Love Nadia Eftedal. She's a sweetheart and awesome coach. I also hear Dustin is great. I haven't personally taken with him but I have met him at comps an seen him coach my pro and he is phenomenal with attention to detail.

Sorry to be predictable, but - Hanna. Every time I see her, she practically changes my life!
This reminds me of being asked my favorite dance . . .
Its usually the most recent coach and I'm all excited about what I just learned! :D

I agree with Fascination;
I really like Taliat Tarsinov for choreography. I also like the Jean-Marc Genereux for choreography as well but I also like him for coaching too.
I have also found Marina Tasinov, Judi Hatton, Stanley and Jennifer McCalla to be excellent coaches.

Allan Tornsberg is my favorite instructor, one of the few to put musical interpretation and natural movement ahead of lines and quantity of movement in latin american dancing.
Armin Kappacher is a brilliant latin coach in the Boston area that is of the same school of thought.

My main coaches are Stanley and Jennifer McCalla and I love them. They have ...dirrected who I should take with and I have in no way been disappointed. My favorites include Dan Calloway, Glenn Weiss, Ieva Pauksana, Wendi Davies, and Eddie Simon.

I read this and one woman immediately came to mind! Funny stuff. :uplaugh: I wonder if it is the same coach? (I know... don't ask, don't tell!)
