I have another riddle for you.
In our class there is one track they play for Waltz that I absolutely love.
Sadly when it went from CD to laptop the title and artists didn't go with it.
It's an instrumental so no clues there, but the instructors wife seems to recall it is called 'Ich Bin' something. I'm guessing at that spelling and that it will be on an English, maybe UK, CD rather than a German one.
I'm am hoping someone will have it earmarked as one of their favorites too and can suggest what it might be.

Still looking for that Samba song, I haven't forgotten.
This one am not sure about. If I come across something here will let you know.

Dave, do you even use unlabeled music? Or is "Track 03" unworthy of your collection, regardless of the nifty factor? :D

Well I have a ton of music that I have ordered from various countries and have no idea what the heck the songs are called since I not be good a reading anything but the Queen's English so I make up titles. Such as the "Dinky-Dinky Cha-Cha" (since it sounds like they say "Dinky-Dinky every 3 seconds) and "The Russian Waltz", etc. So yeah, I kinda do have "unlabled stuff".
Now, am thinking that this Waltz may have come off a Gunter Noris CD (which is German) and may be a song called "Darf Ich Bitten".
Orginal CD case is a dark blue color.
Could be wrong though

Bey BM, yes I gots it all... including a cool Huslt from back in the day that is sitting here on an outgoing message tape from an answering machine that someone gave me.
Waltz song may be from a Gunter Noris (German orchestra known for some very nice instrumental music) CD. Perhaps it may be "Darf Ich Bitten" ?

Do you have any of this gunter noris' music? Saw something called Dirty Mambo...on a latin album..wouldn't mind hearing it.

Yes, have it all. Dirty Mambo is, how chall we say, exactly what you think a Mambo from a German Dance Orchestra comprised of 60+ year old men would sound like. Can you picture that?

I guess you can fool some of the people some of the time ;)
Saving it for later this evening; can't really go to the gym with any sort of inebriation going on. All bets are off afterwards, though!
Nice avatar dm...

Thanks Dave
If it gives you any clues re. my tastes, I like Tony Evans instrumental version of When Will I Hold You Again (Weekend In New England) (http://www.imeem.com/groups/JFH-fsnW/music/ma_Kx5bu/tony_evans_when_will_i_hold_you_again_weekend_in_n ew_englan/)
This plays a short piece within a few seconds of clicking if your pc is set up for music.
I much prefer this version to the Barry Manilow one. I got a free download somewhere of it which I can track the url for if anyone likes it.

Gclarke - when your query first came up, I thought: I know what this is. Marlene Dietrich sang "Ich bin . . ." . . . something. I have at last tracked it down. It is called "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss auf Liebe eingestellt" and it is a very nice waltz. Unfortunately its English title is "Falling in Love Again", so it can't be that. Sorry.

No problem - thanks for trying.

Vicky Leandros recorded a waltz called "Ich bin für Dich da" in 1979. I can imagine this slowed down and generally tamed for ballroom use. Actually we cannot assume it is a German tune at all. If it is recorded by a German orchestra, the title might have been translated from any language. Any chance of putting yourself on YouTube humming it?

:uplaugh:
Absolutely none - tone deaf. Probably why I'm so rythmically challenged with my dancing.
Can't remember it well enough to hum it. Strange that - tunes with words tend to stick annoyingly in my mind even though I forget the words - but not instrumentals.
