Discovered bowling shoes make great dance shoes. I'm thinking a bowling salsa party would be a hoot.

Definitely agree! But they do make good practice shoes. I'm pretty sure Thespina would never wear ugly shoes out dancing in a club. And if she did, I'm sure they would look darn good on her. ;-)

:doh: about 6 months ago i spent a while in a bowling shop checking out the soles of bowling shoes, whilst looking for suitable replacement shoes. all had too much grip at the heel - which i decided would be too sharp a stop on a non-perfect spin

Interesting theory, but no :p.
A few years back saw a high-level ballroom dancer competing in a beautiful gown and.... fugly black practice shoes. Don't know why she did that, but it was a wretched sight and permanently burned into my retinas. It may well work the other way around though: really pretty sparkly shoes and bland clothes.
Worth an experiment, hmmm?

I quite often do this - just my standard jeans and a black top paired with a set of ultra-spangly shoes - makes you feel great ;)
