Where were you literally born? Do you know of any unusual places friends/family were born?

This poll is difficult to answer, as hospital was put as the poll question as opposed to one of the choices....

Genesius Redux, of Brooklyn the son
I contain multitudes....

Aw, skip it.

Native New Yorker. Beyond the privilege of being born in the greatest city on earth, I've never inquired beyond that....

And, not so incidentally, a Yankee fan. I've heard there's another ballclub somewhere in the city, but I've never seen any evidence of it.

But that's just where I was born--if you could *live* anywhere, where would it be?

I've gotta go with Southern California, and getaways in Hawaii, the French Riviera, Bora Bora, and Bar Harbor. Well, Aukland would be cool too. And Venice rocks. Come to think of it, maybe I could just go from city to city and become a citizen of the world! :D

Oops! Okay, correcting it now

Actually...I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on Nellis AFB. A mid-wife delivered me and after having me...my mother walked to her room. Needless to say, my brother was born at the Women's Hospital. :)

What is Nellis AFB? I could Google it I suppose but it is also fun to ask

I'll gladly answer that...

It is Nellis Air Force Base (AFB) in Las Vegas, NV. Arguably the largest AFB in the United States due to its vast testing grounds. Second-most would probably be Eglin AFB in Ft. Walton Beach where my brother is stationed.

Nellis is the home of the Air Forces flight precision team, the Thunderbirds. Pretty cool I was born in Las Vegas where the Thunderbirds are stationed and now I live in Pensacola where the Navy's flight team, the Blue Angels are stationed. I'm looking forward to the upcoming flight show where the two will be flying together.

Oops, now that there are some votes in the poll, I can't amend it to include Air Force base  Okay, we will just have to try and remember that one

Anyone else?

Woo hoo!

You and a million other jaded New Yorkers, who have this world-weary "I've seen it all" thing going on, and then go out to California and get dewy-eyed! If only I could afford it, I'd be out there in--pardon the expression--a New York minute!

I'm not giving out any ugly details. The astrology people out there already have enough incriminating information about me. LOL.

Hardly enough, Jenn! Nobody can really do your chart unless they know year and location. But a gentleman doesn't ask a lady, alas!

Mum's the word, my friend. even with the sketchiest of information, I've had some astrology-minded friends tell me thing about myself that were uncanny in their accuracy. I think I'd better keep the info to myself. I don't really want to know. LOL.

So, so far, 8 people born in a hospital, 1 person on an airforce base. Anyone else? :D

Vince - You could be her father! :D

Sorry TT, just kidding. ;)

I was born in a hospital, just about an hour away from where I live now. The only good story from it is how I got the strange spelling of my first name, Erick. Apparently, my mom and dad couldn't decided on a C or a K, and got into an argument about it right after I was born. A nurse finally broke in and told them "why don't you just put both and shut up already!"...and that's how I got this rare moniker. To date, I've only encountered 1 or 2 other guys with the same spelling...kind of cool actually. :P

Pygmalion - There are few really good astrologers out there...and some of them tend to be pretty accurate!

Beneath a hot blazing Arizona sun; well, it was briefly interupted by a rain storm passing thru at the moment of my birth. So my family tells me.

And it was inside a hospital.
