I would be attending a conference in september 2008 in san francisco. Will be staying near the moscone convention center. Where would the closest dance studio be from there i.e. easiest to get to using public transport ? Any studio's in that downtown sort of area that is worth checking out for group classes or social parties open to public during the week ?.

Vima is kinda within walking distance (4 long city blocks from the Moscone Center).

Cheryl Burke Dance is a little further, you'd probably have to cab it or (I think) walk to 8th St. and catch the #19 bus.

Anton and Lena Koukareko teach a Standard class on Wednesdays at Just Dance. It's in the East Bay and would require about half an hour of public transportation, but I've heard a lot of good things about it.
