Only (big) local ones I know of are A&D Couture and Jordy (I believe). Though there may be others...
Also know a few local pros that also make dresses...personally haven't used them, but know others who have and been quite pleased. I can get contact details if you are interested...

I'm having two made for me in Brooklyn, but can't give you feedback on it yet. It is definitely going to cost significantly less than NJD's recommendations, though. I should have one of them in about 2 weeks and I'm happy to let you know then.

I've just seen a nice practice skirt made by A&D, really nice design and workmanship, flows nicely on the floor. But quite pricy, the girl said she paid $250, even more than Chrisanne or other brand names.

There is another seamtress guy occasionally come to bof to take measurements of girls to make practice dress, but he charges a lot too, a friend of mine has a nice practice dress and she paid him $350. I think $350 is a lot for a practice dress. His work is nice and design is unique, but $350 is quite a lot...
