The $1m dollar party

Location location location ....... I would love to get all my dance-friends together at the Assembly Rooms in Bath. I visited there a couple of years back, and wow - what a brilliant space. Of course, its halfway 'round the world from me here, so I'll have pick you all up on the way. Actually, I think I may have already blown the budget, before even getting to the bands and *******ments. ;)

ISO: My Latin Soul Party

Location: Island TBA; must have a pool with ample area to dance, an indoor area for dining and dancing, and an outdoor dance floor for late night dancing. The party officially begins at 1:00 in the afternoon and goes until 3:00 the following morning. Complimentary cigars. Free to all DF members, with a $200 K set aside for need-based airline tickets for those who can't afford to make it to the island on their own.

1:00-4:00
Casual mixer (poolside)
Live music (Band One)
On-site massage

5:00-7:00
Cocktail mixer--semi-formal (inside)
Live music (Band Two)

7:00-9:00
Dinner--semi-formal (inside)

9:00-12:00

Sarah, this is one of many of your posts that I have read and thought "Now there's a woman after my own heart!" I also adore Bath, the architecture's so beautiful. And I thought your post on the "do fat girls get to dance ballroom?" thread was inspiring too. Kiwi girls rock! 8)

Oh, and GR, count me in! I love your party itinerary. If I had the million bucks, I'd hire you as my event co-ordinator.

i'd change it to British Pounds.. hop on a plane and give u a surprise visit with a big white limo, blasting out favorite salsas and bachatas .. where u'd look out of your window and see me doing the 'smooth' on the limo roof wearing a sign on my chest that reads ''if u go out w/ me now .. u get the limo for free!" :lol: :lol:

If everyone travels economy, (maybe hiring a plane might be cheaper than all the individual return tickets) I am sure that $1m will go very far :wink:

I will certainly be there!! Pick a nice island in the bahamas somewhere...only accessible by a small rickety boat..therefore it will be a very exclusive DF only day/night :lol:

Hmm But I think we could stretch $1m into at least a 3 day party.... who needs food and accomodation when you can dance as long as you like?? And you could even have designated "naptimes" and we could all sleep on the dance floor, that way we are never too far from it :lol: :lol: :lol: :P :P

Actually that could make for some interesting slides in quicktep...you'd just flow right off the floor :lol: :lol: :lol: Waltz would be oh so smooth.
And theres always improvisation, we could invent a new form of dance--"The DF Rock and Slide" :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
