dancesportinfo.net/
I am at work right now and do not have the opportunity to do research...but how helpful/accurate is this site?
I brought up some kids I know that are big in the youth salsa world...but doesn't seem to be as big in the ballroom world?
...Looks like it could be hours of fun in researching...(along with youtube).
Is this international or U.S. only standings. (I can't wait to get home tonight). Likes like a helpful site...am I wrong?
Any other helpful links out there?
Thankyou all in advance.

malakawa,
Thankyou. For some reason,...and without knowing why...the international (10 dance) seems more appealing. Doing research on the "youth" division, top 10...those kids must be sponsored...the costumes alone would put me into bankruptcy.
...gotta get some work done. I will revisit tomorrow.

True in a way, though it includes both the division termed professional and also the one still often termed amateur.

It does include profiles of American Style dancers and will track their results, but I think you have to submit them.

...I know..I should be working. (...waiting for my boss to show up.)
malakawa, I just clicked on your link and had Deja Vu. I was just at the site a few days ago researching ballroom/latin tech. They have Josie Neglia associated with the studio (probably a latin teacher). My daughter teaches a kid's ballet at Josie's studio on sat. (Thanks Josie for giving her such an opportunity). The kids love Missy. Missy was also on Josie's all girl latin dance team at one time.
Anyway, Vivo's is a little closer in...so I will wait on their reply first. Perhaps I should also have a talk with Josie as well. One of her teachers tried to get a ballroom class going....but no luck. My dream would be to have Missy and some exceptional So. Cal. teen lead ballroom/latin prodigy sponsored by some ballroom/latin school. Missy would probably walk away from all her other dances if that was to happen.
...but that stuff doesn't happen in the So. Cal. dance world.

I'm listed in there! Granted, I'm listed with the wrong country, but the one result my partner and I have in there is correct. :p

My dream would be to have Missy and some exceptional So. Cal. teen lead ballroom/latin prodigy sponsored by some ballroom/latin school. Maybe you'll be better connected than I but most of the sponsors seem to be for the highest ranking amateurs and pros. However, I have found that many in ballroom/dancesport are willing to help young amateurs survive. But just don't get too attached to your 401K or your house or having any life outside or ballroom....okay, I am exagerating a little.
They seem to generally be accurate for International style pro and amateur open...my results are all correct, although I know of one competition where the results were recorded in precisely the reverse order as they actually happened, with weird swings in couples' "point values" resulting accordingly.

If you can point them in the right direction i.e. with a link to or with the correct results, they WILL make the correction and have all the couples' point values retabulated.
BM you can also send in a correction request for anything about you (may have to create an account to do so).

They are usually correct and they usually keep results there indefinitely so you can check them anytime you want, unlike the comp site itself usually take off old results and replace with new ones. It's quite useful site

I do believe they rate couples (not rank) with their own system. We had these threads a while back....

talked to the site owner and he says some countries are considering using their rating as their official country rating

it's great that it not only have info about comps in USA, it lists oversea comps as well. I sometimes use it as a guide to check prior year's participation in a particular comp.
