I am planning to buy some CDs but are too confused about which ones to buy.
Currently I am planning to buy 4 additional CDs, 2 for ballroom and 2 for latin.
Can anyone tell me which CD is overally good ? I mean not only have one or two nice songs.

Go to dancevision.com and listen to the audioclips from the CDs so you can decide for yourself which are the good ones
Seriously, you should check out iTunes. That is an excellent way to piece together a respectable list of music without completely breaking the bank. There are many threads here on the DF where people discuss music, and in fact there is an entire music section here, too.
But, there are some things you cannot get on iTunes. Recently I went to a Virgin Megastore and oh boy, were they happy to see me. I practically bought out their imports in tango.

Itunes doesn't exactly have a good selection of strict tempo ballroom compilations. Sure you might find an occasional waltz that needs to be speed up or a foxtrot to slow down... but your best time and money is spent at dancevision.
Go to Dance Vision or Dance Shopper, and preview the selections online before you buy. The are many, many good CD's available, especially for ballroom; however, there are many not as good CD's available too. I was going to make a few recommendations, but one person's taste in music isn't anothers, so I won't.

I recommend Danceshopper. I think their prices are better than DanceVision, and they have longer (45 second) samples so you can really tell something about the song in question.
Although some of these are a little dated by now, I highly recommend Casa Musica titles from their Latin Unlimited and Premium Standard series.

I certainly agree, you should preview them yourself. But there is ONE CD I just can't seem to tire of...
"Ballroom Classics Four"
primarily due to number of tracks I like on it. The rest seem to only have two or three good ones, and we tire easily of those.

Agree, you cant go wrong with any of the Ballroom Classic series, I love them all.
My favorite ballroom CD though is one called Ballroom Passion.

Actually, it does if one searches for ballroom artists by name. The problem is that one would have to know the names of the artists/orchestras. Here's another great resource....

There's also Danceplus.com.
