I've read every thread available on tanning and what everyone thinks...

I tried the Fakebake and yes, it smells a bit. The color indicator gives this awesome color, too bad you wash it off and underneath is the real "tan". It's no where near as dark as I would like it to be but then I've only tried one application... And as long as I waited about an hour or two to go to bed, I haven't stained any of my clothes or sheets.

What I'd like to know, is has anyone tried Protan, Fakebake, Sun Labs, and Sexsymbol that could compare the 4? Fakebake and Sun Labs are the only more Professional strength tanners available in my area. The Protan and Sexsymbol are things I've heard about from others, but I'd have to order them from an online source.

(I tried normal CVS/generic tanners and they don't get my pale skin anywhere near dark enough for a competition tan.)

i haven't try fakebake and sun labs, but i had protan - and i don't like. if you put two or three times it can happened that your skin become green. and to wash it out is hard.

use profitan. ;)

Please don't forget that every product reacts to individual's skin chemistry differently, so in all honesty there is no universally "best" product. Some seem to be better for more people than others (and some seem to be awful for most), so while it is always a good idea to start from recommendations, ultimately what works best for one person may well not be what works best for someone else.

i know that it depends on a skin type. ;)

in 12 years of competing i tried a lot of products. so i recommend profitan + solarium. ;) (solarium first)

I tried protan, don't like it, since it's difficult to use/apply and difficult to even it out, the little brush comes with it isn't helpful at all. but it smells really well.

Tried sexy hair from sexy symbol. It looks great and enhances already tanned skin; however it does not perform alone:(

Just ordered 2 bottles of lotions from Sun labs, just opened and within 2 days it turned green, I emailed them and now waiting for them to ship replacement for me, so no comments until replacements came to my door.

Never tried fake bake.

The one I love is super brown, easy to apply, easy to even out and you see instant results within minutes. I receive compliments from my dance friends and often I have people ask me what I use for tanning since they say I look good. this is my Holy Grail!!!

Well, in general, all the accessories for men are much cheaper than for ladies. ;)
