Murder on the dancefloor...

A Romanian woman was arrested after she pulled out a pistol and took pot shots at a disco Romeo who wouldn't take no for an answer.

Fed-up Raluca Radu, 24, let fly after the luckless lover asked her to dance five times at the nightclub in Pascani.

Her four shots missed her would-be suitor who fled the club unharmed.

She faces charges

"This guy was really coming on strong and being a real pain. She took the gun out of her handbag and let rip. I doubt anyone will be brave enough to ask her for a dance for a long time," said one clubber.

(NOTE: I don't understand... five shots were fired, four missed, the man left unharmed, yet the title is "murder on the dancefloor"?)

"Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on the Dancefloor" wouldn't sell as many papers.

Wasn't there an English pop song called "Murder on the Dance Floor"?

(Google reveals that yes, there is, and you can see the video on YouTube.)

Is it still assault (and not attempted murder) if she missed?

Prolly up to the local DA and mitigating circumstances.

I thought a long-faced "no" was bad, until now.

Maybe the would be suitor set off a "trigger" for her to PULL the trigger. (yes pun intended) :)

you know maybe something from her past and he just happened to set that off in her and she reacted. (badly) but reacted never less.

What IS this world coming to ... eessshhhh!

Four shots fired in a crowded club, and nobody hit... I can't decide if that's really good shooting, or really bad shooting...

I can see why she needed to cheat in that compo, she dances with all the passion of a shopping cart!

Shooting the guy is maybe a little harsh, but based on real world experiences, I can't say I'm too surprised.
