Same to you Sagitta! :D I'm not doing anything special except just enjoying the special day. They're planning a huge Easter Egg Hunt in my community though so the kids will have a lot of fun. :D

Nothing special. Maybe a movie, or better yet, at at-home DVD movie marathon, while I cook enough to feed the inhabitants of several small countries. Any excuse to cook a lot. Mmmm. 8)

I'm going for mass and then later going to have a potluck lunch with people from the catholic graduate group of Cornell. Haven't seen many of these people because of my dancing and also my month long absence last month. Should be great touching base once again. Looking forward to it.
I'm taking red dahl and white rice to have with it. I haven't decided if I will leave it plain or make it special with coconut or jeera... Probably depends on what I feel in the mood of when making it tomorrow or Sunday.

What's the menu? I'm not gonna do anything extravagant myself. Probably some sort of baked chicken and a vegetable....

I hope everyone has a great Easter! I'd love to do an Easter egg hunt! Gosh I sure miss doing those. :)
I have so much work and studying to do for my upcoming trip...so I probably won't have time to visit my family. So much to do, so little time!

Jeera is just the indian name for cumin seed and dahl is the indian name for lentil. I like mixing languages.. :D
To make rice with jeera, use whole cumin seed and fry that in a little oil before adding water and cooking rice. To make co**** rice add the coconut milk towards the end.
To cook lentils I usually soak them overnight. And drain. Heat up some oil hot, then add mustard seeds. After letting them pop add a couple curry leaves and a little fenugreek (little as it is very bitter). A littel while later add onion and totato and a little turmeric powder and garlic. Fry it well, then add red lentils. Cook to softness desired, adding water if needed.
Happy Easter all!
Not many plans, although it is a perfect day for flying so I think I will try to get in the air today. Maybe a mountain bike ride too.

Hmm. Just found out I'm going to have company. Now I have to make company dinner, not just my favorites. Probably turkey, a second meat (TBD), spicy rice, au gratin potatoes, and a couple other sides. Hmm. The only question is do I feel like baking, or should I buy the dessert?

Yeah, I bet that recipe would really make a difference in them remembering the cut & paste function. Hence, "you cannot have a taste until you show me the cut & paste function". I'd have no problems whatsoever.
