A little bit skeptical. They come from Viet Nam. I may just have to drop them an email.

yeah...when I ordered some low-price dvd's from Ukraine, I was a bit hesitant, but it turned out okay (well, except one is in Russian and I haven't figured out if there's English language option somewhere on it). Those prices are great, though. It might be worth a shot...wonder if they take Paypal.

They could be burned copies of the original. I just ordered a rare Muppets DVD from a hole-in-the-wall website for an unbelievable price - when it got here, I realized it wasn't an original, but a copy someone had made with a DVD burner. But it was a good-quality burned copy - they had scanned the original artwork on both the box and the DVDs themselves, and there were no skips or characteristic "stutters" that one usually gets from a burned copy. I was satisfied :-)

You might see what kind of payment they are asking for...Paypal is relatively safe. Not so sure about a wire transfer (which is what it sounds like they're wanting). Couldn't hurt to email and ask

Yeah, my bet is on bootlegs. Heh, saw a lot of that in Kuwait, and friends were saying it was even worse in Thailand.

I looked at the website and noticed that most, if not all, of these titles are the ones available freely on the web for download (if you know where to look, and I'm not providing details, because it does breach a lot of copyrights). Most of the clips you find on youtube are taken from these downloads. I've seen a few sites that are now offering such downloads for sale.
Don't know what to say about this. I don't like the outrageously high prices charged for legitimate copies, and I don't like patronizing bootleggers in principle, either, because I DO care a lot about intellectual property rights, for artists and writers and the like.
You decide!!

already asked the person and they confirmed that the videos are copies. I should have purchased some of them when they were available on chinny.com (authorized copies)

it depends if you are prepared to loose your money if it is they are not very good, Also are they scammers and once they have your CC details will they use it for something else. Sometime things that are too good to be true are too good to be true ;-)

it's a real pity that it's dance video are priced so high. I wonder if that's really the optimal price (optimal for their profits, that is) for sale, at least in the US.

I'd like to check out the videos, but I just don't think that $99 and up plus shipping as a fair price for these items.

I don't know about the 'optimal' price...perhaps they are trying to make allowances for the fact that these DVDs/Videos are not exactly a mainstream item? I could except a price slightly higher than, say, a popular movie, but $99 is out of line. I'd love to collect ballroom dance DVDs, but I just can't afford it. :(
