I *love* makeup. I don't wear much on a daily basis but I love colors, textures, and generally having fun in my own conservative/girly way.
What products do you find particularly good for dancing? Special tips/tricks?
I tend to play up my eyes rather than my lips, so I stick with nudish but glossy lips, and then let my eyes do the talkin'.
I like:
EYES
*MAC Paints to hold shadows on
*sealant (i.e. La Femme Cake Eyeliner Sealant, or Ben Nye Liqui-Set) to turn loose powders or shadows into good eyeliners, or to apply loose shadows wet to lids -- this is such a staple for me!
*2-3 coats of waterproof mascara (lately, Maybelline Volume Express Turbo!)
*loose shimmer colors from MAC, Ben Nye, MUFE, La Femme, and Bare Escentuals -- lots of colors, you can mix/blend/play, and pretty sparkliness.
*black eyeliner. I love Prestige's waterproof pencil (the kind you can sharpen, not the automatic one) in Granite -- stays on like IRON.
LIPS
*Bobbi Brown - the sugar glosses. They stay on like mad. Sheerish.
*Prestige's waterproof lip liners stay on wonderfully too but I use the color all over the lip.
*MAC lipglasses come in awesome colors and stay on well.
I actually just picked up some individual false eyelashes that I'm going to try just on the outer corners of my eyes this weekend. I need a little more drama. :-)
What are you using?

I can talk make-up :D :D
But I dont have nearly half as much as you.. I go thru phases and only use one paticular product until I tire of it!
For everyday ....
Foundation- I use CG fresh, natural beige,.
Eyes, I use Maybelline waterproof, Black (always black!) mascara
CG eyeshadows, usually a soft brown as my eyelashes are really long and tend to take over anyway!
Lips,
Revlon colorstay in pink.
If Im out to hit the town or go dancing, I will use a Khol pencil on my eyes for a really dramatic effect, Lips usually stay pink unless Im wearing something that just screams for red
And I always carry lip gloss...ALWAYS! I cant live without it, Im forever applying it.

I play with the eyes, but not too much. Whatever I do, I always use some white eyeshadow as a highlighter. For lipgloss, Maybelline makes wet diamonds - sparkly red is my favorite, but only if I wear red or black dress (it's too much otherwise). How do false lashes work? I was never able to put them on my eyes...

As a model...I have TONS of makeup. In fact, a whole train case full. I've also had some training in technique, application, and what to look for in the quality.
I've done and worn some really cool looks in the past. ;)

I don't wear a lot of makeup generally (don't like the idea of having completely different looking faces with and without makeup ), and I wear even less when I go dancing. I let the natural glow from the copious amount of sweat I end up wearing on my face do the work...
Besides, lighting is usually quite dim at clubs, so all that time you spend putting your face on is wasted (that's my excuse for not making an effort, anyway ).

The above post made me want to clarify...I only wear makeup on photo shoots and on a day-to-day basis, my look consists of some light concealer under the eyes and mascara. That's it.
BTW, the attached photo of me consists of just about the same (light makeup for swimwear).

I generally only wear a little foundation, concealer to help cover up my horrible dark circles (they never really go away) and a bit of either neutral or brown lippy. Might do some browns and creams on the eyes and mascara for special occasions, but that's about it.

I like to go with bright pink lipstick, lots of blush, black eyeliner, and purple eyeshadow.

I'd like to see THAT, NeoDevin!!!!!!!
Usually I wear mascara, black eyeliner(under my lower lashes only) a bit of shadow if I'm into it that day, and ALWAYS lip-liner and major-glossy lip gloss(the guys LOVE it, or so they say!). I never wear foundation as it clogs th' pores but do use a nice powder to keep the shine away.
When dancing, as I tend to sweat quite a bit, I forget the powder completely as it never stays on past the first dance, and opt for WATERPROOF mascara. I like to use glittery stuff to highlight my eyes for parties or going to clubs.
I have no favorite brands but I travel a lot and and use stuff I pick up in Europe and Asia most often. I buy most of my cosmetics in Seoul, Korea(as it's 1/5 the cost here in Japan, and about 1/2 price of that in the US) and they have a huge selection of all the latest colors! I am now using turquoise blue or lavender eyeliner on my upper lids which I highlight with white pearl powder around the corners of my eyes. For US$200 I can buy more than a year's worth of make-up & hair care products, which is one reason(besides the GREAT food) I go there to shop at least once a year!!! :D

I have recently discovered the stay on 10 hour lipsticks. They are fantastic! I can put on in the morning, and it stays there all day - no joke. I only have to reapply if going out at night (generally a darker shade) and then if I don't bother to wash it off before going to bed, the beautiful pout is still there in the morning! Absolutely fabulous. :D

Lots of makeup and hair products cocodrilio!! :o :) I try and keep mine to the minimum. Chapstick to stop my lips chapping, a moisturizer to stop my face from drying out, and a couple hair products to keep my hair looking good.

P.S. My favorite brand of deodorant is REXONA, which I first discovered in the Czech Republic about 6 years ago. I also found it in places like Mexico & Africa, but I've never seen it in the US. It comes in lots of nice scents, and LASTS THE WHOLE NIGHT, even for a sweathog like me! Check it out!

Yes, a lot of make-up indeed, Sagitta, but I don't really wear all that much. The Japanese summer is extremely humid, thus one must apply & re-apply make-up constantly as you sweat it off. In Korea I also get lip balm, lotions, toners, hand creams, and all that stuff. Great prices for locally-produced cosmetics. They also carry Nivea, Johnson & Johnson, & Neutrogena(great hand cream) at half the price in Japan!

I stopped wearing makeup when I went through an identity crisis in my mid-twenties. Cut off all my hair and wore that natural too. It was great (and quite funny) watching people's reactions to my bare face and my afro. (And the reactions to my assertiveness training were even funnier. )
Nowadays, I do various things with my hair, depending on my mood,. But I rarely wear makeup at all. Only for very special occasions.

My hair fros when I let it go long--and then I don't dare brush it, usually let it air dry so that it curls up tight. If I brush it out, it starts looking like:
"Welcome baaaack!"

I've tried those lipsticks- I believe they are Japanese products- they ARE drying and they don't come off, no matter what! I have super dry lips so I prefer a wetter lipstick, so I've switched to gloss. Many re-applications, but it looks great & keeps my lips moisturized.

I use the Covergirl ones (cheaper than the others). They have a moisturising stick that goes over the top that you can apply if it feels dry. I have no complaints at all. :D

I wouldn't know covergirl if it came up and bit me on the nose. Back when I used to wear the stuff regularly, I had a consultant who recommended colors and such for me. I definitely recommend that. Not necessarily a particular brand of makeup, but the consultation. At least one. It will help you figure out the difference between what YOU see and what the WORLD sees. Definitely a good thing, at least once. LOL.

I have to agree that the all day lipsticks are very drying, I use the lifinity too and that comes with a gloss stick so you dont notice it.

I use so many different brands-
Etude eye colors & liners(Korean brand)
Revlon nail polish
St Ives body lotion(the Swiss vanilla is delectable!)
Mavala waterproof mascara(Swiss)- a MUST for 24-hour dancers/performers. This stuff does NOT come off!
Chanel eye colors
The Body Shop's body butter(mango! YUM!)
...are but a few of my faves! :D

It depends!
Like I said in the earlier post, I go thru stages  , Right now Im totally loving the maybelline wetshine range, Lipstick and Nail Polish, and the mascara.
I alternate between Max Factor pancake foundation (although I find it a bit expensive at $37 for a cake) and the CG fresh which is only $17.

I've never been much for the daily make up routine... I have fun painting my face for events and such on occasion... but since I don't perform as much it becomes increasingly rare.
I formative moment for me (thank goodness I was able to learn from someone else's example) was in college when a girl in my department came to school without her usual make up on. Everyone kept asking her if she was okay... or gave her comments like "it looks like you're not feeling well." The people didn't mean any offense but it astonished her that people would interpret her natural face as sickly and tired.
I knew I didn't want to have that happen to me... I'd much rather get an "oh you're wearing make up" than "poor thing you look awful" I don't want to have to apply a face people will recognize ;)
although it can be a lot of fun I must say :D

I like to change my looks by not wearing eyeliner one day, wearing pink eyeshadow the next or sometimes no eyemake-up at all. I ALWAYS have something on my lips (dry lip syndrome) though...
There are some natural beauties, wish I was one of them, that look absolutely gorgeous with nothing on their faces.

I use a mascara made by Blinc, called "Kiss Me". It stays on fabulously, does not smear (no more racoon eyes), and comes off when you wash your face at the end of the day or evening. After applying it and it dries, you can rub your fingers across your lashes, and no smudges or coming off on your hand. I know this sounds weird, but it really is waterproof! But just applying a little pressure and warm water causes it to rinse off. I found it at my salon, but I believe it is available in finer department stores also.
Thanks for posting the topic Mellody43!
Finally a topic I can talk about! :D

Nah, I like girls best without make-up at all. So what if you're not perfect all over, wear a smile and most girls/women will look beautiful to me. And if a smile doesn't do it, all the makeup in the world won't either.

There is so much bad make-up going around. Especially bad mascara and too much foundation (or powder or whatever it is) giving the skin that strange and weird texture that look everything but natural.
Of course there is the painting too, when girls paint on a completely new face. That is kind of OK, cause I figure it's like creating something different than a natural face. It's like a carneval face or something.
A little make-up is okay :?
So please girls, either go all the way or tone it down to a an absolute minimum. Or wear nothing at all, which is what I actually prefer. :D
Btw: It was mentioned something about phot and darkness. Different rules apply in these situations. Darkness and photos can handle much more makeup than natural daylight kan handle. That is because daylight is very revealing. Daylight makes the make-up stand out as make-up put into your face. It kind of reveals that 'hey that's not you looking like that, no... it's you with goo in your face'. In darkness it looks much more natural.
So girls, you look the best when you're wearing nothing

I now have, due to forgetfulness and leaving the original one at home, acquired 3 or 4 mascaras. I try to alternate them but there is one that I have noticed that is quite thick and makes my eyelashes feel very heavy and I feel irritable :( so am thinking of binning this one. The others are lighter and elongate for the c o m e h i t h e r look
Has anyone else who wears mascara discovered this sort of thing?
Re lipsticks, I had lunch with a colleague after eating (a starter, main, drinks and coffee) her lipstick looked as good as before we went into the restaurant  whereas mine had probably disappeared after the starter. I never got round to asking her what the secret was

Pacion, sometimes that happens with my mascara when it starts to get old, and then I just pitch it. I think the shelf life of an opened tube of mascara is only a couple of months.
cocodrilo
09-20-2004, 08:22 AM
A good tube of mascara lasts me around 6 months, sometimes longer. I use a waterproof kind on my lower lashes(stuff tends to run as I sweat a lot in this humidity!) and the regular stuff on my upper lashes. I've never had to throw away a tube of "old" mascara. Maybe because it's so humid here the stuff lasts forever. :?

These are isolated incidents that women like to share with each other. They are not the general truth.
Well well... most men who say they prefer women without make up, can not tell if a women has a very discrete make up or not... but they will think the girl who wears it is more pretty than the day she does not. Men who says things like this, think of over usage of make up when they say "make up". There is an amusing incident from the fifties where a kind-of-beauty contest was held. The girls were informed that all make up was strictly forbidden. Of course, all the girls who got to the finals wore some very discrete make up.

For me, I look better with a little makeup rather than none at all. At the very least, I wear mascara. Due to lack of pigment cells, one set of eyelashes is mostly white, so without mascara the effect is a little, well, odd. And, I get tired of answering questions about it. :?

I think you're right on the money here, blue. I know that I look better with a little discreet makeup, but I still don't wear it.  I am pretty enough without any makeup, but, on the rare occasion when my self confidence needs a little boost, I keep a backup blusher on hand. Other than that, it's bare-faced all the way. It's easier, quicker, and more fun. Eh. Maybe when I get old and saggy, I'll start wearing makeup again. Until then, it's strictly what you see is what you get. 8)

Good to know Pyg. :)
By the way, I'm sure I mentioned this before, but a couple weeks ago a friend of mine said that she liked seeing guys with black eyeliner on their lower eyelids now and then. Now, I'm curious. What about you guys? Who likes seeing guys with a little make-up, and how much, and where? And if I wanted to have a little fun and do the black eye liner thing what is the best brand for me, and what is the best way to put it on? You can see pictures of me in the photo galleries to help you help me out.
Having very pale eye lashes and brows, I nowadays let my hair dresser dye them. It is not the same effect as mascara and a pen on the brows, but saves loads of time :D that I most of the time was too lazy to spend anyhow.
I use make up sometimes. I never was into the habit of the same make up every day - I want to know what is my real face, and what is the enhancement. I sometimes go to a party without make up, or to dance... but I am much more likely to take out my eye shadows for such occasions than when I go to work. (Let's not get into how many different eye shadows I own... )
Actually, my starting dancing has gotten me into more feminin clothes and more make up (or at least more often) than ever.
Sagitta: on the lower eye lid only? Sounds a bit funny to me. Oh well, fashion changes in make up as well... eyeliner is a bit tricky to apply. A pencil is much easier than the fluid types. Anyhow, if you want to try I suggest you go to a female friend for expert help. 8)
Personally I would not mind - I actually know a guy who wears mascara every day. He has short lashes, and almost no one knows he does it. :D I would not be in favor of the Malcolm MacDowell/Clockwork Orange style though... but as your skin is pretty dark, you do not have to be as afraid of excaggeration as most of us others.
(Let's not get into how many different eye shadows I own... )
Oh, probably about as many as I own. Estee Lauder & Clinique just love me. :D

When I started competiting I never really wore make-up to school or where ever because I hated doing it for comps ( i hated mascara back then- i have this fear of things and my eyes- now im over it and i LOVE mascara) anyways- now-a-days im in hs so i wear make-up every day even if im just going to the store or something. As far as comp make-up goes I really dont have favorites of anything because this month it will be my favorite and next month I will have found something 10X better. I have recently discovered a liquid eyeliner marker- its really cool but I havent used it at a comp yet. So i will let you know how it works next week.

When I wear makeup, it's always mascara, eye liner or eye powder and lipstick... not necessarily together! But the rule of thumb for me is - no mascara!
When I go out, it varies from no make up to just lipstick or just mascara or both or even more... depends on my mood and my outfit!
I very rarely use foundation or powder - only when I shoot a video or something or I have a show... :)

I'm one of those women that "prettier, more-together women" often say of me: "You know, she could do so much more to make herself look better- she doesn't even try, geez" of my "daily comfortable streetwear"... But really, I think- I'm going to a supermarket, the post office, and maybe Taco Bell. Why should I bother?" I'm also the same person that is irritably chagrined when I go to a funeral and see some hick in loggin' boots, faded jeans, and a wifebeater, or those baggy-ass stupid pants, however "nice" they might be.
I don't like the feel of makeup, and I've worn it to horse shows (whorepaint we call it, I'm sure dancers can relate to the heavily-painted faces to match the costume and overall "look" the judges go for), back when I did some jobs that required "cute" (and I had the shape to be considered such), but now I figure if I shower daily, my clothes are clean and in suitable repair, and I can tame this beastly mane (It's really long, fairly red, and moderately thick and wavy) into a ball at the back of my neck, I'm doin' good.
WHEN I DO wear makeup, I love Burt's Bees lipsticks/glosses, and then plain old Estee Lauder the rest of the way. Not that I don't like COLLECTING the stuff now- I have a vast palette of colors for all parts of the face, but meh- the stuff's weird-feeling. I think I was meant to be a butch- with really long hair. And a lot of jewelry. And some dresses. Ok, maybe that didn't work out right, but whatever.
I've had people just SAY "you know, why don't you wear makeup?", but they're the same ones who "why don't you: go to church, get married, have kids, dye your hair, cut your hair, wear this or that, do this or that..." so it's exceedingly easy to either ignore them or say something art-smassed.
A REALLY AWESOME group for "toiletries"- shampoos, soaps, body-wash, etc. is thefirecreekgroup.com I buy all of my shampoos (hyacinth) and stuff from them. All-natural stuff, and smells SOOOO heavenly.
It just all boils down to if you need someone or something else to validate you. If you do, that's fine, if not, that's fine, too. I used to think that the people who wore makeup (not all, but the ones I knew, from their behavior) were deathly afraid of not fitting in. "Oh, if I get caught without makeup, I'll just DIE"... you know. But really, some women like to dress it up or show it off, and I've realized that's cool too 8) Just don't begrudge me my comfort, LOL

I used to be a makeup maven, a cosmetics junkie, about as hooked as a woman can be. I wouldn't leave the house without it when I was young. Now I realize - Hey! I was YOUNG then! I didn't even need any makeup!
Now that I ought not to leave the house with out some concealer at least, I don't seem to care!
It's still a fun medium to play with, and I certainly do still get much more attention when I go to the trouble of the makeup and the hair and all, than when I don't.

My mom is a total make-up nazi. ARGH! When I was a senior in high school (read a bare 16 years old - just turned), she INSISTED I wear a "full face" of make-up EVERY Bleeping BLEEP BLEEPING day. She wouldn't let me comb my own BLEEPING HAIR!!!
Well, let me tell you what.... I started wearing jeans and t-shirts to school, scraping my hair back into a wad at the back of my head and wearing NOTHING. I wouldn't wash my face for days at a time. I was making a statement.
Prior to "making my statement", I had been called everything but nice... Think whore, slut, etc because my mom INSISTED on having me look like frigging Tammy Faye.
To this DAY, I only wear make-up if I'm in the mood for it. I know HOW to lay on the spackle for a competition/pageant, but I don't do it unless it is absoutely necessary.

Amen. Amen. And again. Amen. 8)

Ha ha ha! Er, actually, no. What happens to the boobs if you sleep on 'em wrong?
Macha, for nose pore problems, try facial oil-blotting paper. Keeps the oil from acumulating, and I think that'll take care of the blackhead problem.

Yeah, I've noticed that product on the drugstore shelves of quite a few countriies I've visited. I don't have gunky pores, so I don't use it. It is popular with guys over here, as they tend to "clog up" if you know what I mean. Guys also use facial blotting paper, sometimes even my college kids DURING class("Can't you wait till AFTER class to clean up your oil slick?!" ).

It is good to use exfoliating scrub straight on the nose. To rub it a little and just wash out with water. I like certain company, but I don't want to write it here not to be blamed in advertising. After that you just put a mild not oily moisturizer - and that is it.It work for me.

For clogged pores, try a product containing salicylic acid. (This is what beauty experts in magazines will ALWAYS recommend for this.) These are usually labelled "for spot prone skin" but not all of them these days are harsh nasty stuff like Clearasil. I like the Garnier Pure range, using the exfoliating face wash and the Pure A treatment moisturises, although the Neutrogena Visibly Clear stuff is nice too I hear.

The most I wear on a daily basis is concealer (for the dark circles under my eyes), some lip moisturizer with shine, and mascara (my eyelashes are actually really long, but you can't tell unless I have mascara on b/c the tips are really light). Sometimes I put blush on, too.
If I'm going some place special, then I put on a little eye liner and colored lip gloss.
I keep my make-up looking natural. If I wouldn't have those darned circles under my eyes, then I would be able to go au naturale with no problem. I don't like to bother with make-up. I used to model, though, so I still have a LOT make-up from my modelling days that I like to play around with sometimes. 8)

Just got back from the MAC counter at Nordstrom...picked up some black liquid eyeliner and some MAC Paints. I love that stuff -- it's a creme eyeshadow that comes in a paint tube. It's fabulous to use as a base for powdered shadows because it really holds everything on as well as being strongly pigmented itself. I forgot what color I got, but it's a lovely champagne shade. Oh yeah, about makeup: I've got some soft pink thick pencil from BeneFit called Eye Bright. It's really nice if you've got tired circles under your eyes, or dark shadows on the inner corners by the nose. You dot it on and blend, and it helps to blend away the darker color and perk you up. I dunno about any of you, but when I take a little time to make myself pretty -- put on some makeup, maybe a necklace, nice clothes -- I feel more confident and sexy in myself and I can feel how it changes the way I move.
There's nothing to feel guilty about in spending money on cosmetics. They're not frivolous. They're emotional therapy. :D
My favourite piece of emotional therapy is Barry M's Dazzle Dust, which is a loose powder shadow. I just don't know of a range that does such a great variety of colours. Loose powder shadow's great, you can use it sparingly for a subtle look, you can really layer it on for vibrant effects, it makes a great liner and some shades are good as highlighters for the cheeks, contouring, even on the lips and loose powder shadows in general seem to stay on much more than any other kind of eye colour. I have so many of these. I love them. Really, really love them! And they're only £4.50! (That's about $8.50 or 6.50 EUR)

I was raised in the South, and my mother always told me "Don't even go to the mailbox without your lipstick." No, really, I love makeup. I like to wear it, play with it, buy it. I really don't look like Tammy Faye. I've learned to apply it where it doesn't look like I'm wearing as much as I am. But I'm a reddish/blond Irish and have lots of freckles, so it takes a good foundation to cover them up. I noticed someone said on the First Competition thread that even though they thought they were wearing a lot of make-up, it really looked washed out. I found that to be true at comps. At first I refused to wear the black eyeliner and fake lashes, but after looking at my tapes, you could hardly see my eyes, so now I pile it on!

That reminds me of this lipgloss that was all the rage when I was a junior high student. I had most of the "flavors"- but my favorites were bubblegum and butterscotch. Stuff actually tasted good, too! Do any of you remember these? They were in a clear glass tube with some kind of red floral print on it. The cap was gold, I believe. On a photo or on video, makeup that would look horrible in real life and normal light, can look very good. The same goes for low lighting.
It has to do with the disapearing of the details, and probably some other effects too. A TV can never render the details (maybe it will be different on HDTV), and many photos will be deliberately smoothed if close up.
Makeup for real life, and makeup for photo/video are two different things.

I went to Sephora's in NYC yesterday, just to play with stuff. Their liquid eyeliner is really good, but I'm not sure if there are stores in other cities. It's the store brand, and it sells for about $10. I tried it on my hand. The brush is very smooth and allows for great control, so you can have a thin or thick line without a mess. The bad thing about it is that it is totally NON-waterproof, so if you wear contacts and have to put drops in your eyes every now and then, this won't work.
I did find a new product which I tried on my hand and it worked great. It's a "lipstick sealer", and it's an obscure brand that makes things of that type. It's a brush-on liquid in a small bottle for $15.00. You are supposed to brush it over lipstick, and the lipstick will become permanent.
I tried it over my hand, actually over a line I made with a pencil eyeliner, not lipstick. After all the experiments I did on my hands, and rubbing off all the test lipstick and eyeshadow more than once with a plain paper tissue, and paper tissue soaked in makeup remover, everything came off my hand, except that one line of eyeliner with the sealer on top. It just stayed put like when I first put it on. Hmmmm. I think I'll go back to the store and buy me a bottle. It's about the size of a nailpolish bottle. Sephora makes a similar product, under its own brand name, for about $12 I think. I will try that one, too. But I was really impressed with this sealer thing. The line on my hand didn't start fading until I took a shower.
This is not something I would wear on a daily basis. I actually like re-applying lipstick (when I wear lipstick), because that way I can empty the tube and have an excuse to buy a few more :D :D But for comps, this would be a good product. I am going to see if it can be applied over other things, e.g. eyeliner and eyeshadow, to make them permanent.

Rimmel are doing an Infinite Colour lipstick at the moment. It's a double ended tube. The colour really stays on, and the other end is a clear gloss you can put over the top for a bit of shine. I've bought three, they're brilliant! They also smell and taste of vanilla and caramel.

It doesn't come off for food, kissing, drinking etc. but comes off easily with waterproof eye makeup remover. Good stuff!

I just bought a "lipstick sealer" at Walgreens (NYC brand, $1.99 plus I had a $1.00 coupon. Woo hoo!). It specifically says not to use it on bare lips, and even noted that it may produce a temporary "tingly" sensation over lipstick. I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect this is something you don't want near your eyes (or more specifically, *in* them  ). Didn't someone else post here that they used hairspray to "seal" their makeup?

You know, I actually saw them in stores about five years ago- I bought all they had (clearance shopping RULES)... and then, never saw them again. So that was their "extinction period" I guess?

I remember the flavoured roll-on lip glosses well. They were a huge fad in the late 70s / early 80s, so I was quite young then. Personally I don't like them.
Several ranges have brought them back. Miners do a roll-on gloss now, as do Avon, Stuf and a few others.

Oh, I love make-up so much!!! I love the book by bobbi brown "face to face" it is the best book on make-up for dancing or everyday. I have way too much make-up because I am not picky about the brands, I buy what I like, not who I like. I love to look around though at competitions and even in everyday life and think, "oh, man, they need a hair/make-up intervention." I have big pet peeves with make-up and I'm not afraid to tell people what I think if they ask me. I do make-up for teams and weddings quite often, I love doing it!!!

That's great about you telling it to people like it is(gotta be careful here, though, as some people are pertty sensitive!). Too many people end up making themselves look like clowns or hookers. They should be reading beauty mags to get tips or better yet, go to one of those make-up counters in the department stores.

Hi there tiadancer! I'm the same. I think some cheap brands do some great products, and some premium brands do some duff ones.

Hehehehe. I've seen some women working at make-up counters that look like clowns or hookers.
