I just read they dance together. Any thoughts?
Would only recognize them by sight if I've seen them before....so no thoughts here ;)

He used to dance with Katarina Venturini (they were one of my favorite couples). I personally don't think Elena is as good, but I'm biased. Think he is a terrific and rythmical dancer. Hope it works out for them.

I think Andrej is one of the most masculine Latin dancers and Katarina complimented him very nicely.

Yes they were one of the Slovenian best couple. I used to take lessons with them.
they are great, especially Andrey. He is funny and on a lesson make a lots of jokes. And I just love when they try to speak croatian. :nope:
I think that Elena had best partnership with Sergei Rupin. She is a little bit to tinny for Andrej.

wow!! I really like Andrey so I'm happy to see him come back, very rhythmical and masculine guy..... not sure how the partnership will be like..

now I remember them at Blackpool seminars. Very exciting to watch, terrific dancers. Not sure who Elena is, no comment.

Elena used to dance with Slavik Kryklyvyy. Speaking of Slavik, looks like he is dancing at Internationals (he and Hanna are listed in the pro list on dancesportinfo).

Sergey Ryupin judged at USDC. I think he is retired.
Becca talked to Hanna - Hanna and Slavik decided not to dance at The International, although they danced last night at the Night of the 100 Stars.

What I really would like to see is Adrej and Katarina's standard. They used to be ten dancers.

I can't imagine being able to dance in both those feathers (just call me "Swiffer" Queen) and the headpiece. She has an amazing figure, though, huh? I really like their samba on World Superstars '05. And their contemporary numbers are also nice/different to watch. I wonder if she'll compete again...
And I didn't know they had done 10-dance together. Wonder if there are any videos floating around of that.

They are both fantastic dancers. I wish them well.
The Professional Latin event is really exciting at the moment with the established couples and the new partnerships all pushing for the finals & top places.

Slavik and Hanna will not dance until January now - Andrej and Elena looking very good, got a great reception, danced really nicely.

Thanks for the clips...
I think it's going to be a good match. IN rumba, I feel like he's always very aware of where she is, helping her, giving me the impression that with him she would be able ot dancer her best... and has always been a good dance for her.

There is a Samba on there too, if you go to the user's profile you can find it on there.
The show was in Hong Kong.
Dancesportinfo has them listed to represent Russia but in the International programme they are entered as Finland (YES!) which I suspected they might well do! so can't give a definite answer on that one but hopefully Finland! But they are basing themselves in London.
And I agree, I think Rumba is by far their strongest dance, this was the show they performed on Monday and wow . . . fantastic!
Will try and add that one on to my Facebook as soon as I get a minute.

Showcase was in Belgrade (Serbia) ;), not in Hong Kong.
And I can't find a samba video??? :confused:

Huh...unless I am mistaken, seems to be a couple of surprises on both Pro Latin and Standard. Some I thought would place higher and others I thought would be lower...

The only thing that surprised me is that Dmitri Timokhin didn't make the finals. Though, I must admit that my expectations were based on his results with previous partners.

So much really, I don't know where to start. In general I just feel a lot of people were totally robbed.
I have full professional and amateur Latin and professional Standard finals on video and lots of pics, will hopefully get around to putting them somewhere I can share them . . . eventually.

I just wonder how most of the couples who really look great got pushed out in the third round. And who half of the people who did make the quarter final actually are, and why. What a load of . . . !
And even some in the semi final - got to be having a pure LAUGH.

Like GJB, I feel bummed Dmitri Timokhin didn't make it to the final....
But congrats to Andre/Elena and Ricardo/Yulia. Michael and Joanna look always very solid even though I've noticed that they tend to perform the exactly same routines over and over for a little too long.

wow, jurij batagelj and jagoda were better than plohl and tatsiana in amateur latin. :cool:
and very interesting in a professional latin division. very good result sergej and elena had. i want to see their samba.
