I will be in Portland, OR, next weekend. Where are the best places to dance Thursday through Sunday nights?
Thanks!

I just saw this thread - do you still need to know where to go? Post - I'll fill you in on the details.

Thank you, Terremoto. I actually just returned from Portland last week. I should have posted earlier to give you time to reply, but not a big deal. I really enjoyed Portland, and I am hoping I will have the opportunity to visit again soon...
While I was in Portland, I did go salsa dancing a few times. I went to the Blue Dragonfly on Thursday evening, and then I went to the Mambo Lounge on Saturday night when Cubaneo was playing. I had a great time. I really enjoy the style that Portland salseros dance, more so than the style I saw in Seattle. Everyone was so friendly too; I met a lot of great people.
I would definitely post your recommendations here so I can keep them in mind for my next trip. And other salseros visiting this thread might also be interested in knowing where to go if they find themselves in Portland. So I welcome your response.
Thanks! :)

I have been traveling a lot and have fallen out of the portland scene. But if you were to ask me where to go thursday and saturday (our best nights) I would have said blue dragon fly and then saturday mambo lounge - or possibly aztec willies (depending on what you are looking for). Friday nights are so so - but the place is andreas cha cha room - its small and can get crowded - but its the best place on friday. Snow dancer on salsaforums would be able to give you more detailed information - he's out like three nights a week in portland.
