And the some of the utterly uninteresting acrobatic moves that requires you got the floor for your self. But then again, I’m only interesting in what works on the social dance floor, not the show-off or competitions stuff.
But sadly, some people don’t show respect for the other dancers, with the resulting feet in the air, and stepping on other dancers when the try to show-off. :cry:

But then again, the applause always comes by throwing the lady into the air, (preferly by showing her undies), so this will properly continue. :shock:

i have attented alex's both advanced and intermidiate class both in seminars in cyprus and the congress in the uk...truth is although i was into acrobatics and fancy stuff, i migrated to club salsa only.

in alex's advanced class 50% of what is teaching is not lead able acrobatics so i dont know if i will be attending any more of his advanced classes in the future.

having said that intermidiate classes have more casual moves you can do in a club without people giving you...inapropriate nicknames ;)

Heck, I think those "nicknames" are often quite appropriate for those who can't tell the difference between a performance stage and a social floor. I don't know though, maybe they were just born stupid and it's not their fault that they can't tell the difference? ...Nah, they're just incosiderate *BLEEPS*

i think some people get over excited when they find the right partner which seems to do everything right....and then you start pushing yourself harder and harder so you end up "perfoming" on the club dance floor.

i think a few of us had our moments when we knew people were looking at us while we were dancing...
its then when we become exhibitionists,getting into "the zone" and start doing fancy footwork and miracusly remembering all the advanced moves we were tought at the last congress :)

so i mean...its one thing when people over do it with being anti-social and its another when someone tries to show off...we all deserve our 15 minutes (or 15 seconds, dont remember which is right) of fame

and it depends on the situation...i remember dancing in a very crouded salsa bar in cyprus and the leader of the couple next to me kept throwing her oversized partner on me like he wanted me to got beaten to death :P all i was thinking then is breaking the guy's nose...heheheh...
