Just curious, how many of you DF amigas y amigos live and dance in Minnesota? I haunt the streets and burn up the floors of Saint Paul.
Anyone else?

some very good dancers up there...I don't know that we have had any members publicly claim that area...but a great spot for dancing to be certain...I have an aunt in the area and know it well, but sadly I am too far away to truly get there often enough

If you ever get back here for a visit, drop me a line and let's scorch the floor.

You too. Next time you're in town, let's take a spin.

I've already noted it as an option...mebbe even the motive that finally gets me back for a visit! :)
Is there a lot of ballroom there? Is it mostly American rather than International? Any salsa, WCS...or good hustle crowds? Where are the most active scenes?
So many questions...LoL.

First a caveat: a have my favorite studio but otherwise don't get around much.
But:
There are several great studios with nice big floors. They usually have classes and practice parties that non-members can attend for ten or twenty bucks. There seems to be a nice mixture of American and International ballroom; three or four great competitions every year, and other ballroom events.
There is a decent salsa scene, a couple of different swing venues (west coast, east coast, lindy). My studio does some hustle but I don't know who else does.
Now, no doubt there is a lot more dancing going on in the Twin Cities than I am aware of. Chances are, whatever dance you feel like on a given night, you can probably find it happening somewhere.
Come on up to the chilly north and warm the place up a little.

Beauty. If you come in July, try to come for the Twin Cities Open, usually the first weekend after independence day. It's an almost overwhelming spectacle.
