Was anybody at Jimmy Anton's last night (Oct. 19)?

The live band was awesome!! I think it was "Latin Magic Big Band", but oddly enough, I'd never heard of them. When I googled them, it appears they are from California? Anybody know if that's true? I was hoping they were from NY area, so that I could follow their schedule to see them live again.

Also, one of the band members looked alot like Jimmy Anton, and I had to wonder if it might be his brother...?

Hi, I was there (and this was my first weekend dancing in NYC). I am typically not a fan of live music, but the songs were of reasonable length and the balance between DJ and live music was fantastic... :grin:

Hi, I was there but I dont like dancing to live music due to the lenght of the songs, so I didnt have the presence of mind to check who was playing. I will ask Jimmy this weekend.

Oh thanks P.C. I did in fact hear back from Jimmy in the interim...(I'd sent him an email.) Turns out it was in fact his brother in the band...! :-)
