Hi Stuart,

First of all, check out the Salsaholics Anonymous (http://www.salsaholics.co.uk)website (http://www.salsaholics.co.uk), definitive guide to the Salsa scene in Scotland. There's not much going on in Ayr salsa-wise, but Glasgow has some regular club nights. The main salsa spots are Havana (next to the Central Station) and Cuba Norte in the Italian Centre.
When are you coming to Ayr/Glasgow? If you PM me with dates, I will give you details of what's on where.

Hmm. So far, I've found this comprehensive listing of Glasgow clubs and dancing, but few give any specifics of what kind of music they play on any given night.

I also found this interesting Glasgow travel article that mentions salsa, but it doesn't give the venue.

So salsa is, apprently, alive and well in Glasgow. I hope someone in DF can give you more specific recommendations. :? 8)

Tuesday night? Couches? Must be Havana. No comfy couches at Cuba Norte. Havana is best sampled on Thursday nights. Lots of good dancers turn up around 10, when beginners classes finish.
