Picture this. You are walking along the beach and come across a washedup bottle. Something makes you stop and take a closer look. You notice what looks like piece of paper and wonder is someone has put a "message in the bottle" . You pull the cork off and there is a sudden loud bang with a huge bellow of smoke. Suddenly you hear a magical voice (male or female, I will let you write that part  ) that says, "You have released me from the capitivity of the bottle, where I have been held for the last x number of thousands of years. In appreciation, I will grant you five wishes".

What five wishes would you choose and why? :D

OMG. This is tough, Pacion. Let me think.

For myself: Peace of mind
Joy

For My family: Freedom

For the world: peace

For DF: Longevity

(I reserve the right to change my mind after I hear what others say LOL)

What about sheer decadence/luxury?

Yes, I would wish for similar things as you, but in terms of decadence  one of the things I think I would want is lie in a bathtub filled with the best melted chocolate  why? because I have never had one and as it is my wish, my genie, I can  Not one drop would pass my lips of course

I want the genie to be like Barbara Eden--this beautiful blonde who does everything I want and calls me master....

Okay, relax, I'm kidding. She doesn't have to be blonde.

But what would I want? I'm not good at these because I don't know if they can reverse reality. Like can we gain eternal youth? I'm going to assume that the wishes have to obey the laws of the universe.

Wish Number 1--A one-month dancing cruise with Pacion as my partner.

Wish Number 2--4.5 billion dollars.

That's all I need to start out with, because the money will let me do a lot of the other stuff I want to do.

Did anyone see that X-File episode where Molder found himself a real Genie from an old rug......?

That was thought-provoking. I will need to think twice beforemaking wishes these day.

You know what they say: Becareful what you wish for.......it might come true.....!

Whatever the amount of cash it requires to accomplish the following;

1. Set up school(s) for kids in developing countries.

2. Pay off my bloody mortgage.

3. Buy myself into the anal-retentive ultra-conservative political system so that I could become a city assemblywoman and improve the heck out the city I love.

4. Cease the production of landmines.(Guess which country produces the most?)

5. Have a HUGE DANCE PARTY and INVITE YOU ALL(all expense paid, of course!!!) :D

Here's my biggest wish:

 To be able to switch my body for a younger body at will, while still retaining all my experience and knowledge.

The beauty of this is that I would be able to use all my knowledge and experience while living all over again. I could do a lot of things differently, would make much fewer mistakes and would score with a lot more girls :P

I would also be able to live for a long long time, granting me another wis I have; to see what the future brings!

Imagine seeing all the wonderful things of tomorrows technology and maybe even taking part in the colonization of space! That would be wonderful. (Have I ever mentioned that I love sci-fi movies? )

I could spend time really mastering all kinds of dancing, all kinds of martial arts, mathematics, physcis and a lot of other stuff.

On the negative side, I would have to endure watching people I love grow old and die. I would have to force them into suffering while wondering where the h*** I disappeard too everytime I switch my body to a younger one. I would probably have to see a lot more of war, violence and bad stuff on this earth.

But I think it would be worth it.

Four more wishes?

Okay, number two:
 More time to think about what too wish for, without loosing wish number two :-)

Traditionally such wishes are twisted by evil genies. If I dared wish anything at all, the first would be to have the wisdom to choose the best possible remaining wishes.

Hear the one about the "evil" genie? There were these 2 guys out golfing and one guy asks his buddy "Hey, got a light?". His buddy pulls out this really LONG Bic lighter, gives it a flick, and lights his friend's cigar. The man with the cigar was truly amazed! "What a HUGE lighter! Where'd ya get THAT?" His friend replied, "Oh, I've got this genie. Go ahead, Make any wish, he'll grant it!" His friend quickly decided what he wanted, and shouted out "I wish I had a million bucks!" Just then, a million ducks flocked onto the golf course. "A million DUCKS? I wished for a million BUCKS!" His friend replied "Oh, I forgot to tell you. My genie is a little hard of hearing. Do you think I asked for an 8-inch BIC?"

An update on this... I think I will ask my genie for something as mundane as ensuring when ever I am out and about, either by myself or accompanied, there is always (and I do mean always! ;)) a parking space close to where we are going - right in front the doorway would be even better!

Oh, and if we are in a space where it is a parking meter and we are running late, the car becomes invisible to traffic wardens and other drivers miss the space.
