Hi all. I have been learning Salsa for 2 months now and I decided to buy a pair of dancing shoes. I'm a beginner so I don't know anything about shoes like what features to look for. I've seen many people in my studio use the Bloch dance sneakers and they look really cool and easy to dance. Would you recommend me some shoes (perhaps some good deals)? I want something that is practical and not expensive.

Thanks so much,
Ting

Are you a guy or a girl? A lot of guys wear the sneakers (I'm pretty sure Bloch is the sneaker of choice, right SD? ) A lot of girls wear the high-heeled, uncomfortable-looking, strappy Latin sandals, especially at clubs.

I hope for your sake you're a guy!

oh sorry, i'm a guy! I supposed the shoes should be pretty snug so that they grip well and make spinning easier?

Check out w w w.nydancewear.com/ for dance sneakers. Lots of varieties!

Capezio also makes a cool red & black shoe "Strike Dance Shoe" that's only $36.00. Any dance shoe is well worth the investment!!!
