Have you ever danced with someone who wore a permanant smile on their face?
I mean one of those crazed looking smiles....like each side of their mouth is being held up by toothpicks?

I danced with someone last night and the shape of his smile never changed...I could count all his teeth..freaked me out!
I noticed he had this bizarre smile plastered on his face all night.

Kinda made me want to hide when I saw him walking over to me!

No, I don't think I have had the pleasure... and hope never to have it! Sounds really weird... somewhat even scary!

For those not in America, it's like Bob the Enzyte guy's (http://www.enzyte.com/)smile? (look at the upper right corner).

YES!!! It's BOB!!! I've had a few of those myself! Quite creepy, indeed! I've heard a lot of stuff about "always keep smiling" and about smiling during performances(I actually heard that said on one of Torres' videos!) so maybe those guys are just practicing their "Colgate Smile". I find myself smiling quite a bit when I'm practicing at the studio, but I think it's just because i'm having so much damn fun & can't help it! I certainly hope it isn't a "Creepy Bob" smile. I'll have to ask some guys at the next dance party I go to... :?

What's the deal, ShyDancer? Is that just his natural facial expression, do you think, or is he practicing for dance competitions? A lot of competitors have hideously scary smiles, and think they're being expressive in their dancing. :?

He isnt a competitor pygmalion, he is a regular at this venue as I am, Ive just never danced with him apart from the progressive dances.

The thing was that he was speaking thru this smile too..thats what was so weird, everytime he spoke it was thru his teeth, I almost wondered if he had his jaw wired until he covered his mouth to clear his throat

Oh, ShyDancer, that is freaky, but there's a guy at my studio who just stares at me.

It's so scary. He wears glasses and peers at me over them and, I swear, with no exaggeration, EVERY time I turn around, he's look at me with that freaky over-the-glasses stare. He's asked me to dance a few times and, though I very, very rarely say no, I can't bring myself to dance with him. He really frightens me. I'm sure he's harmelss, but he makes me glad I'm versed in a martial art! :)

Maybe he has a big crush on you MadamSamba

But really that is creepy!
Id be uncomfortable with someone staring at me like that , must be a comfort having martial arts experience though.
