Where can I find very sheer but very stretchy see-thru mesh in a dark tan color for use in a barely there latin costume? What I saw in local fabric stores was too thick, pale, and not stretchy enough.
Also, once I find it, how do you stone the mesh without the glue coming through to the other side?
Does the stretch of the mesh later make the stones pop off easier?
I appreciate your help!

Power mesh? Sometimes you can find it on eBay.
You need to stone the mesh with some protective layer underneath (like wax paper). I personally haven't noticed stones popping off mesh material more easily than other fabrics.

I agree everything and123 has said. In eBay search box type in "mesh" or "sheer" or "fishnet," you will see a whole slew of stretch mesh costumes. I have more luck with the word "sheer." Some of them are very nice. When you use glue, place a plastic board between the fabrics, fix the stones, and press down the stoned areas with a 20 lbs weight for a half an hour. Even though the fabric is extremely stretch, stones stay with it. I am in the process of stoning one of my black sheer mesh shirt with jet hermatitite stones. It is turning out very nice. I can't wait to see how the studio ladies are going to react when I show up in it.
