  Now *that's* funny! No offense meant to any Goth dancers out there on DF at all though! 8) As we all know I'm probably incapable of doing such moves.

That's hilarious! I like the in-the-coffin-hands-crossed-over-chest pose. Ever check out Goth fashion sites? Cool cloaks, scary women...

Scary looking women, but gentle hearts. Don't be frightened men, otherwise you cut yourself off from a tempting section of the population. And the goth look with all that metal and leather and black -- black is cool for dance remember, and all that metal is good to catch her and control her, plus flash as she spins and sways. Oh man. You don't know what you're missing. As for those goth moves? Just do a dip or two and they'll be lining up in twos and threes.

Have you seen the goth fashion sites where the women are wearing princess-like Victorian garb? It's really beautiful! Can't dance in that stuff, though... :?

Victorians did, polkas, waltz mazurka, schottiche. A number of riends of mine dance in things like that pretty regularly. There are some dances you certainly can't do though.

My sister had a Goth wedding. They even did a waltz for their first dance, and then my girlfriend and I did a performance for them:

My mom made the dress, and for the family members that couldn't cope with it being a goth wedding, they were told it was Medieval ;)
So, I must say, she does have a gentle heart, and a respect for ballroom dancing. My girlfriend still insists that my sister is the nicest person she has ever met.

I'll pass along the compliment... you wouldn't guess that a wedding in black would be so beautiful
