Hi, I'm just wondering how can i get more fluent(Basicly one whole movement), I've been practicing for a while now and I still can't get it right, instead of making me look good when I dance, I make myself look like an otta fool, And the sort of dancing I try to do isn't anything like the "Tango" or the "Salsa", its like R&B/Hip-Hop dancing. I'm pretty sure this isn't a forum about this type of dancing, but I hope you'se can help. All I ask is for somone to teach me how to be more fluent while dancing.

Thanks alot,
Unfluentable Dancer

Hi Light!
Do you go to dance classes, or are you just trying to pick up stuff you see people doing at clubs? Hip hop isn't as easy as it looks. Clases will definitely help you learn some cool moves the right way, and polish up your style!

Hey cocodrilo! No I don't do dancing classes, and I wouldn't have a clue where to find any nor if I got enough money to do it,...... i never knew dancing could get so fustrating :headwall:

What city are you in? Are you a student? Fill me in! Hip hop is so popular nowadays, there are classes everywhere! Classes are much more economical than private lessons, and you may even find they have some classes at your local community center or gym! Check it out!

Melbourne- seems there are quite a few Aussies in the DF- maybe you could ask someone like Salsachinita- she seems hip on the places to go and might know something about venues for hip hop classes.

Hello, hello! Hideliho, neighbour...!

Great, you've come to the right place :D . Hip-hop/R&B classes are around, I can find out. I think The Space or Chunky Moves are some.

Better still, come hang out with me & the rest of the club fanatics at Lotus on Wed. But not this Wed, coz Cat Empire will be playing at Night Cat :!: & that's where everyone's going!

PM me for more details. It will help if I get to see you in action, so I can send you to the right people.

But seriously, as a student (lack resources) all you need is to hang out at the clubs to enjoy the music & watch others. The rest will come from inside. The more at ease you are, the better you will dance.

Hi salsachinita, I kinder feel abit stupid going to a dance class, and even more so by myself, and where abouts is 'Lotus' if it's in the City I got noway of getting there, because I live down at Narre Warren, (Soutern Eastern Suburbs) and I wouldn't have a clue how to get there, nor I would feel kinda of stupid going there by myself, not knowing anyone or anything let alone dance infront of them, I have pretty bad self estem and I don't know how to build it up. Also if I can make a few mates come and join I'll be more than happy to show up; I will speak to a few mates about it and get back to you if it doesn't bother you,
