Stralight for sure on Thr, starts at 8 pm. If you come early, you may see some familiar faces taking lessons or practicing.

Its probably fine if you are bringing someone to dance with. Don't plan to treat it like competition rounds, but should have more freedom of movement than any usual social event in the city.

hm.. have you been there? need place to dance with someone.. ideall st :) their intl party is good option but wrong day, what is music like that day? any clue?

Great dancing amongst friends: the usual standard, latin, hustle, salsa, & AT, etc. Geared toward dancers without partners but a lot of couples also come. You will see some of your competing pros, too.

I'll be in NY on thursday! One of my dance friends is having tryouts and invited me along! Unfortunately I don't think we'll be staying all evening to attend a social. Would love to be there though! Have fun Kat! :)
