I have taken a 2week salsa lesson break, similiar to what i do in golf.

It gives a fresh look at the dance for me, anyone else do this?

Twice a year I take a two week break from dancing. It recharges me for the next six months.

Here is a thread, having to do with coming back to dance after a break.

1. http://www.dance-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1734

I do know there is another more appropriate thread, but cannot find it at the moment. This forum is becoming tough for me to keep up with. :)

Since I cannot find that thread...I went to India the month of March. Not much dancing, and I came back having forgotten a lot, (having just done a few months of dancing before), but it revitalized and *******ed me. It recharged my batteries. In some ways it has helped me a lot. :)

In terms of breaks I sometimes stop one dance and do another when I reach a mental wall, or switch from one teacher to another. Different breaks then just not dancing, but breaks nonetheless.

I practice once or twice a week, go to parties/clubs when I can, but if I can't dance, I know I'll be able to catch up later! I also travel a lot and more often than not salsa clubs are not on my agenda(Basically because there aren't any, mostly)...and if I am travelling with a non-dancer-yes, it DOES happen- we resort to other forms of entertainment!
