i watched dirty dancing over the weekend and was reminded that i never learned -- or really, got to practice & play with -- the lambada, which looks like so much fun!

definitely putting that one on my agenda for this year. will have to find appropriate partner.:cool::cool:

as for cool outfits... doesn't seem to me one needs anything in particular, just very close-fitting, skimpy, sexy duds... heh.

the cool outfits from online, where would you recommend.

I get a lot of abuse from friends about my love of Latin dance but I don't care!

Your friends just don't understand, if they got into it, they'd understand
that it's a lot of fun, and we're able to use it wherever we go.

Lambada...great dance. Never received the merit in america that it deserves. Was asked by the producer to be in a movie about it many years ago. Could not fit it into the schedule. Think the movie was bad anyway. :)

Is the Lambada still being done? Haven't heard much about it since it had it's short run in popularity with the two movies in the early 90's.

One of my co-workers tried to make fun of this once and I looked at him like he was an idiot in front of everybody at the table and he immediately backed off and started telling me how he actually thinks it's cool. I have no patience with these people. It's like going 'Hahaha, you are cooler than me. Haha. You have a better lifestyle than me. Hahaha. You have a skill that I, and many others, don't. Haha. You meet more women than I. Haha.' Idiots.

That trademark move (with the turns behind the back followed by a dip) Oliver Pineda throws in his performances comes from Lambada. They took it and made it faster.
