I see over on Yehoodi that this event was shut down by the cops due to violating NYC's blue laws?

Blue laws? as in, people weren't supposed to bring booze, but did? And are future scheduled dates in July, august and September still on?
Blue laws? as in, people weren't supposed to bring booze, but did?
As in, dancing is illegal in NYC (http://www.legalizedancingnyc.com/).

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, although I'm not surprised. I grew up in Pennsylvania, another state with totally pointless and outmoded blue laws, IMO. That's why I asked about booze. In PA, you couldn't buy it except at a state-owned liquor store, and not on Sundays. (And a lot of other dumb restrictions.)
So what happens with this event? Is there a work-around? There must be. Lots of people dance in New York, right? Or is it just certain types of dances that are banned?
