This weekend, I had something like four dreams  that contained salsa   Am I losing the plot here? Is my subconcious trying to tell me something my concious mind is desparately trying to ignore
What (keeping it clean :!: and no, dreaming of Catherine Zeta Jones, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez or Cindy Crawford is not an option/answer  ) do you tend to dream about, if you remember what those dreams were?

My dreams are very involved and bizarre. The other night, some things in my dreams were shape-shifting, and a government conspiracy to control or round up the shape-shifters (of which I was one). The last of my forms was going to be a Mutant Ninja Turtle, and it was packaged and waiting for me like one of those Halloween costumes you get in a box, only just neatly folded like clothes and put on a shelf. But at a time that I felt things were safe and I was walking among green clovers in the park, someone pointed out a prophecy that foretold the coming of a blast of hot wind. And in the distance there was a volcano, belching flames into the sky, and around it a cyclone, surrounded by thousands of black birds, and headed straight for us. I knew it would sweep me up and carry me away into the fire. But it didn't. Instead, everything was changed. When I looked for the Mutant Ninja Turtle, which was a living creature, I found instead the skin and bones of a dead kitten. When I prodded it with my foot, it came to life and filled out apparently into a healthy cat, except for one green diseased patch on its back. Then I woke up.
You asked!

I dream often, and most of it lately is about dancing,
Sometimes I dream of how to correctly do soething and I get up and try it  (Nope hasnt worked yet)
The weirdest dream I have ever had involved me working at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground..the biggest sporting facility in the state) carrying foam matteresses across the ground, only the ground was a huge dancefloor, no one was there so I danced on it alone.
Still havent figured that one out :? :?

I once dreamt that I could do infinite spins on the dancefloor like a figure skater. The next day I tried to spin like I had in the dream and amazingly enough I could spin more...not infinitely but definitely 2 more revolutions than I did previously.
I often dream about running (I like to run) and flying. The flying dreams are the best. :D

Yes, Boo, I've had dreams like that. When I was quite young & learning to swim, I dreamt that I was swimming like a dolphine. Sure enough, the next day I was swimming better.
Over the years I've also dreamt of great dancing experiences. then the next time I went out dancing, I WAS dancing better.
I'm just waiting for the spinning dream any day now   ...........!

I don't know... sometimes I guess I dream about dancing. Many times I dream WHILE dancing. Don't ask me how that happens.

I just woke up from a dream where I was trying desparately to pre-register for the Beantown Lindy Hop Camp and this guy working there who looked like Rico Suave told me he couldn't help me because he really worked for "60 Minutes". Now that's bizarre. :?

I was listening to Art Bell late last night on Coast to Coast Radio in which the subject was lucid dreams, the kind in which you know you are having a dream and in some cases have control over. I've had two of these. I don't recall what the second time was about, but the first was years ago where I was either being chased by a mob or one was advancing very quickly in my direction and I was jumping up and down trying to wake myself up!
I am surprised that I have never had a dream about dancing.

Most of my dreams are vivid and sometimes precise (only if you get used to the illogic of it all). There are rare times when they are also self-consistent.
Like yesterday, I had this dream of me doing a shine sequence. Something really complex (nothing that I can hope to do in the next several months, or even ever seen or learned). I was watching myself do the seqence, and it was amazing. The precision, the footwork and the aesthetics of it all were pretty cool.
In my dream, I realized that I've never seen that sequence before, and I started wondering how the h. did I make it up.. in my dream... and as soon as I thought that, the dream faded away.
I can't remember the sequence now :)
The cool thing is...
.....I've been mirror shopping the last couple of days, so I could practice shines at home. Don't have a full size mirror yet... So the dream reflects some reality/desire.
.... this is my first salsa/dance related dream ever!!

You just made me realize I haven't had a salsa-related dream yet. Weirdness. Perhaps it's because there is no lingering anxiety when I come from the dance floor and I'm fully sated.
Wait. No, that's a lie.
Who knows!
I used to have a lot of dreams about being chased or not being able to run or scream or talk, or being naked in public places... but I haven't had ANY uncomfortable dreams like that in a very long time. A lot of times I have weird, supernatural dreams that scare the dickens out of me and I have to concentrate and breathe and try not to scream for five minutes after I wake up to get back to reality. I would almost rather have the chasing or screaming dreams!
As for really really good dreams... it's been awhile since I've had one of those, too. Again... weird. Wonder where the vividness has gone? GUess I'm really exhausted or something. Who knows.

Boy, I reread the dream I wrote about a few years ago and that was weird.
I had another several months ago. In it, there were these rampaging dinosaurs, and we all knew this T-Rex was gonna come and attack us in this big mall-like structure. Only we knew exactly what it was going to do because it was a movie and we'd seen it, so all we had to do was anticipate the movie and fake it out. Only it wasn't that easy--things just started to happen like we couldn't prevent.
My dance teacher was in this dream too--she was coming out of a room, and she was in her underwear (nothing sexy, just kind of like unprepared), and as she was coming down the stairs she stumbled and I caught her. Then she disappeared and the dinos attacked. I was trying to find her in the streets, but there were all these tricerotops running around like rhinos. Then I woke up.

Now and again I remember my dreams. The oddest one lately, and I may have posted about it, involved magnetic cheerios. It was more of a nightmare, really, b/c I wasn't allowed to pair them all up and it was very frustrated to have all of these magnetic cheerios (which I KNEW wanted to be paired up, the way magnetic things are) and not be able to match them up.
I used to have a recurring nightmare when I was little about getting the [samba] beaten out of me. No idea where that came from, since there was absolutely no violence in our house. Or with anyone I knew of. Well...except for my brother and I fighting, but I always won those fights.

Magnetic cheerios?
Need more details to analyze that one, Peach....

They were Cheerios. They had itty-bitty magnets on the back. I really wanted (had) to match them all up, the way they were "supposed to" be. I wasn't allowed, for whatever reason. When you're OCD-ish, like me, that's really frustrating.
I also couldn't figure out how 1)they came out of the box with tiny magnets, 2)but when they were in my cereal bowl with milk there were no magnets, 3)but they were still magnetic somehow. It was driving me nuts.

Do you like Cheerios, in general? Did they give you any cause for concern in your bowl? Were all the ones with magnets alike?
And were you pulling them out of the box to match them up? Were they all over the table? Were there a lot of them?
Sounds like a life frustration thing. You don't say whether there was anything else you wanted to do, or someplace you had to be--but the fact that things don't quite match up is revealing, I think. You also don't say what you did to try to match them up, and why it was so difficult.
Or another question to ask would be why is your mind giving you this kind of scenario and not presenting other alternatives. Why didn't you just dump the box out and swish them around with your hands and let them match up on their own? I think that when you address those kinds of questions, then you're on the road to doing something about what your dream is showing you.

I like Cheerios, I suppose. I go through a Cheerios phase now and again.
Some had spilled on the island in the kitchen, and some were matched up. The ones in the bowl where just doing their little Cheerio-in-the-bowl thing...floating along...being magnetic sans magnets. (How did they do that?!?!)
I didn't do the swish thing, b/c that's not how you match things up when you're me, and OCD-ish, and you're dreaming. It's not like magnetic cheerios are a logical dream. I would have been pulling them out of the box, but I wasn't allowed to match them up.
It was frustrating to the point of waking me up, the way I wake up from nightmares, and I woke up very annoyed at not being allowed to pair them up. But very funny by the time morning rolled around.
