You need to know the time of your birth though.
Since I don't know the time of my birth, I've cheated and created multiple portraits using different times of day (I think I'll ask mum since this has got me curious). Interesting results... The first part seems to remain the same though, and mine is:

Sun in Leo, Moon in Capricorn

You were born with the Sun in Leo and the Moon in Capricorn. The key words to your psychological makeup are synthesis, fidelity, and ambition. You must be attentive to possible psychological conflicts, because while you are inwardly magnanimous, outwardly you are selfish, because of your thirst for power. The Moon in Capricorn exerts a strong influence on your personality and, although internally you are not like this, others view you as cautious, responsible, practical, ambitious, and hard-working. You are made to be cautious in love, although internally you would like to act more spontaneously. Another key word to your being is possessiveness, especially in the psychological sense. You are at your best in any circle in which your natural urges can be reasonably expressed. Therefore you are better suited to lead than to serve. Your struggle is between your rather narrow-minded and selfish outlook and your more real spontaneous and passionate feelings. If you are able to harmonize these temperamental qualities you will find life easier and success more ready.
Surprisingly on the mark, I thought.
My personality test (http://www.dance-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=3409) result was The Battleaxe (http://www.okcupid.com/personality?type=DBLM&g=2&o=1&h=190) : Deliberate Brutal Love Master. I suppose I can see some similarities... :?

Moon signs are frequently read as the more hidden, submerged psyche. Some people think the moon is a more accurate indication of your personality. Sometimes it suggests aspects of your personality that you tend to repress. The Ascendent (Rising Sign) is often the way people first see you--like the door to the house.

Me--I'm Gemini Sun, Sagittarius Moon, and Aquarius Rising.

Here's mine:
Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Aries * Ascendant in Virgo, Mercury in the Third House * Sun in the Third House * Venus in the Third House * Moon in the Eighth House * Saturn in the Ninth House.

Sun in Scorpio: Passion. Nuff said.

Moon in Aries: The appearance of a hot active sign like Aries in the cool passive Moon heightens and sharpens your senses, but may make you more impulsive or edgy at times. An Aries Moon helps you out socially; making you witty and charming and energetic. You cannot be possessed or tied down in love, but you want to be adored nonetheless--and you may at times be a little possessive or jealous yourself.

Virgo Ascendant: The analytical and intellectual Virgo works in an interesting way with Scorpio Sun and Aries Moon. It doesn't mean that you're less emotional--but that you can genuinely get excited over ideas and abstractions. There is a part of you that is difficult to get to know, unless one pays careful attention. You're someone whom one has to work to get to know.

The Third House: You have so many influences in the Third House, which is the House of Communications, that understanding and exchange of ideas must be terribly important to you. You also have a number of good influences here.

Mercury in the Third House: Mercury is very well suited to the House of Communications. Particularly because you are a Virgo Ascendant (and Virgo is ruled by Mercury, which is itself the planet of communication and language), you are alert, curious, intelligent, and social. People tend to be drawn to your wit and humor.

Sun in the Third House: The sun presides over your vitality and your individuality. Here in the Third House, its position suggests that communication is natural to you, well suited to studying and being a lifelong learner.

Venus in the Third House: Venus is the planet of love and pleasure--its position here indicates the delight you take in learning new things, meeting new people, either through correspondence or travel. Love may come about through either travel or correspondence.

Those are all the good things that come about from your influences in this House. On the down side, you may tend to be too assertive in your own beliefs (Sun), be sometimes indecisive because you see too many options (Mercury), or mentally lazy or overly swayed by emotions (Venus).

Moon in the Eighth House, which is the House of Death and Regeneration, means that you are sensitive to the intuitive and psychic world. You're strongly drawn to the archetypal moments of life, and your spiritual indebtedness to the important people in your life, parents, siblings, lovers, ancestors, even historical figures to whom you are drawn, is pronounced. Sex is a deeply spiritual thing for you.

Saturn in the Ninth House, the House of Mental Exploration and Long Distance Travel. As opposed to the Third House, which is all about the daily communication we have with people, the Ninth House is about deeper philosophical learning--the distance to which the mind can travel, as well as literal long-distance travelling. Saturn, likewise, is a planet of responsibility and hard work--discipline and strengthening of character through trial. In the Ninth House, Saturn's influence means that you can grow mentally through hard work and over a long period of time, or that travelling over distances will be something that you can learn from, if you can overcome the obstacles. Contacts with foreigners can be beneficial in your life. You are very serious about matters of philosophy, faith, or religion, and you explore them thoroughly and with discipline.

That's all I've got time for today, I'll do others later.

Ok...well here's the full report...

Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Cancer, Ascendant in Gemini, Mecury in Ninth House, Jupiter Conjuct Ascendant, Moon in the Second House, Saturn in the Third House, Neptune Opposition Ascendant, Sun in the Tenth House, Venus in the Tenth House.

Whatever all that means?

Okay, let me go on to TT:

Aquarius Sun and Cancer Moon strike me as almost total opposites. As I've written before, I think, the Sun sign is the surface personality, while the Moon sign tends to be more hidden, possibly a suppressed quality.

Your Aquarian Sun is gregarious, assertive, independent, analytical, and progressive in thinking. Very firm in opinions, idealistic and humanitarian, concerned with bigger issues but a tendency to remain detached in personal relationships.

That personality is modified by your Cancer Moon--making you more imaginative, sympathetic, protective, loyal, tenacious. On the other hand, the Cancer Moon can make you become possessive, moody, critical, or at times self-pitying. In general, the gregariousness of your Sun sign helps moderate the potentially dark side of the Cancer Moon, while the Bright Side of the Cancer Moon helps add a dimension of personal commitment that is not represented by your Aquarian Sun, and helps make your intellectualism more compelling or daring, giving you the ability to touch other people's lives.

The Cancer Moon influences your Second House, which is the House of Possessions. You may have a tendency to want too much, or to want too many things, and to accumulate emotionally, possessively, and unwisely. But it also means that you can earn money creatively, by using your imagination, and selling to the public. The Moon in your Second House means that your modelling career is probably a good idea. But your finances can fluctuate pretty wildly.

You are a rising Gemini, supporting your Aquarian analytical qualities with a gift for linguistic clarity. You react quickly to almost any stimulus, but you tend to live on the mental rather than the emotional plane. Again, this is quite different from your Cancer Moon, which is intensely private and highly emotional. Both Aquarius and Gemini are masculine signs, and both are air signs. Cancer is feminine and a water sign. It represents the vulnerable you underneath all the witty, brilliant, social, devil-may-care aura you like to project.

The Conjunction of Jupiter and the Opposition of Neptune are interesting. Jupiter's Conjunction with your Sun sign suggests a cultured mind and a sense of humor in general. It conveys a generosity and expansiveness on your Gemini traits; you probably impress people quickly and deeply with your wit and roving intelligence, and you have a knack for being able to involve others with your Gemini games (as opposed to straight Geminis who often leave other people behind in their own enjoyment of the world). The Opposition of Neptune at the same time suggests that those Gemini-supported attributes of intellect and wit are only possible after you struggle with some vagueness in your mind, or your tendency to fall prey at times to your emotions. You are susceptible sometimes to deceit and treachery. Neptune is a very mystical planet, a planet of illusion whose power is the power of imagination. What you want to be rationally and intellectually, you must become after struggling with your dreaminess and other mystic qualities. This is an ongoing life struggle.

Saturn in your Third House: The Third House governs Communication, and Saturn's influence here indicates a practical and serious mind, good powers of observation, and a tendency to prefer fact over theory. Saturn is above all the planet of discipline and responsibility, diligence, self-control, and sometimes limitations. Your early life and education was probably highly structured, and that sense of structure, reality, and simple practicality continually places restrictions on your imagination. But that can be good because you won't allow even your wildest imaginings to control you without subjecting them to a reality check.

Sun in Tenth House: This is the House of Career and Public Standing, and a very favorable position for your Sun. You've got a strong sense of self and a drive to succeed. That success may not come until near the middle of your life. It will definitely come from your considerable social skills and analytical ability--your ability to follow your head rather than your heart. But take care lest ambition and career take precedence over other concerns, like marriage and relationships.

Venus in Tenth House: This follows up what I've said above. Venus's position here means that you can use charm and diplomacy to further your interests, and is favorable for a career involving culture or the arts. Marriage and love relationships that support your work and career are the best choices for you, particularly since your Sun (and Aquarian nature) also influences your Tenth House. You are one of those rare people for whom love and work can and should go together.

Hope that keeps you busy for a while!

Sun in Leo, Moon in Scorpio * Ascendant in Aries, Mars in the Sixth House * Sun in the Fifth House * Venus in the Fifth House * Saturn in the Fifth House * Moon in the Seventh House * Uranus Opposition Ascendant

:))

Squirrel.

Whoa! Powerful woman!

Sun in Leo--all the Leo qualities. A fire sign, expansive and creative, full of energy, generous, extravagant, tends toward dogmatic and very firm in opinions. Public image is very important--when the Leo woman sees her checking account down to two figures, she somehow still manages to buy that fabulous new dress. She's great at parties, a marvellous entertainer. She basks in praise, wants to be the center of attention, but is in a way above rivalry. When she gives herself, she gives her heart with no reservations--passionate and sensual but not kinky. Leo rules the heart.

Supported by an Ascendant Aries, another masculine fire sign. This is the mark of a natural leader, adventurous and pioneering, very straightforward and impatient with deception. Your enthusiasm for things is infectious, and you prefer not to be bound by tradition but to try newer, brash ways of doing things. Aries is all about beginnings, so you have this tremendous energy at the start of things--combined with the Leo's sense of assertive entitlement, this is a very powerful combination.

Scorpio Moon--Your jealous, passionate, feminine interior. It's a feminine water sign, ruled by Pluto, the planet of regenerative forces. This Moon sign heightens your imagination, your determination, and your ambition. But it also can make you even more obstinate and domineering, not to mention giving you a jealous streak that your Leo sun would simply look at as beneath you. You're very good at controlling and hiding your feelings but they are always there, and in some ways you never get over hurts (again in contrast to Leo, which is too magnanimous and confident to brood over past injuries). In some ways, then, your Moon sign supports and extends your Leo qualities, whereas in others it creates a more hidden personality that is strongly at odds with your public face.

You have many important influences in your Fifth House, which is the House of Creativity and Sex. This House rules over everything you do for pleasure and to express yourself creatively. Your sexual nature is a big part of this. Children and the joy you get from them are also part of the Fifth House--or just the idea of childhood or your child-nature.

Sun in the Fifth House suggests that you are energetic, creative, fond of the good life. You are strongly drawn to the arts, and you like to be with a lot of people. You may have many love affairs and you're very free with money. All the natural Leo traits, emphasized by the presence of the Sun in this House.

Venus in the Fifth House--you tend to attract romance, and this influence is very well positioned for creative work as well. You're probably very affectionate with children.

Saturn in the Fifth House. I've mentioned several times that Saturn is the planet of discipline and to some extent limitation. Its position in your Fifth House may suggest that your own sense of discipline and seriousness at times prevents you from relaxing and having fun. Saturn's position just means that your sense of responsibility, discipline, work ethic, maybe the periods of unhappiness you've had modify your other influences in this House.

Mars in the Sixth House. The Sixth House is the House of Service and Health. It rules especially your dealings with people you work with, both subordinates and employers. Mars is the planet of energy and assertiveness, and its influence here shapes the energy and vitality you put into your own work, as well as what you expect of others. If you can control your impulsiveness, you'll accomplish great things--you've got great vitality and energy, but can be prone to carelessness and accidents at work.

Moon in the Seventh House. The Seventh House is the House of Marriage and Partnership. The Moon governs instincts and emotions. Security is very important to you in marriage and other relationships, and you may end up marrying someone who can be a kind of parental figure and who will be protective. You are emotionally responsive in relationships and can be sensual in marriage. But you're also prone to change and maybe even divorce.

Uranus Opposition Ascendant. Against your Ascendant Mars and its power to make you driven and forceful, the opposition of Uranus may create a tendency for your considerable energy to be scattered to no purpose. Uranus is a planet of change and originality, and you may find that the force of your ideas or goals is counteracted by a tendency to go for what is new or unusual. This is an ongoing challenge in your life, to keep your focus and stay on track despite your attraction to newness. But you also have a powerful ally in your Leo Sun. Keep the influence of this planet under control, don't let it stop you from attaining your goals.

Mine is right on the money. I'm a double Gemini, and the Neptune opposition ascendant is so completely me.

Sun in Gemini, Moon in Libra
Ascendant in Gemini, Mercury in the First House
Sun in the First House
Sun Conjunct Ascendant
Mercury Conjuct Ascendant
Venus in the Third House
Saturn in the Fourth House
Moon in the Fifth House
Neptune Opposition Ascendant

For LauraB--sounds like you already have a good read on yours, but since tomorrow is your (26th?) birthday, I'll go ahead and do a read.

Gemini Sun and Libra Moon sounds ominous to me, but mainly because my ex-wife was a Libra so I tend to be suspicious of that association. In general, as you know, your Gemini Sun is what lies behind your charm, and your interest in other people, which can be various but also may tend toward the superficial. The typical Gemini butterfly is fascinating so long as it is given the freedom to flit about, but once it is caught it quickly dies.

Your Libra Moon accentuates your keen mentality, but may in some ways contribute to occasional indecisiveness, self-indulgence, or fickleness. With Gemini Sun and Libra Moon you are definitely someone who loves with her head more than her heart--not that you are unemotional, but that you are aesthetic in your approach to emotions and attachments. Mental compatibility and friendship is more important to you than sexual compatibility.

Your Gemini Ascendant doubles your Gemini potential, and the conjunct Sun and conjunct Mercury (Gemini's ruling planet) intensifies it even more--and the opposition of Neptune may mean that you can be easily distracted or that you can tend to obsessiveness at times. The mystic and visionary elements of Neptune make your Gemini even more prone to airiness and abstraction than usual.

Even more Gemini--The Sun in your First House (the House of Self) strengthens your personality traits, and gives you a very strong sense of self and a healthy independence. Mercury's presence there increases your mental alertness, makes you more inquisitive, funnier, and intensifies your need for intellectual challenge. Let me ask you, Laura, do you have an off switch? Your stars say that you're always on, on, on!

Third House is the House of Communications, governing self-expression, family ties, and daily travel. Venus's influence there suggests an innate sense of taste and a talent for presentation. People will pay attention to your ideas because you know how to make them charming. You may find your social life involves a lot of trips, and love may come about through either travel or correspondence.

The Fourth House is the House of Home and dominates your early and your later life. Saturn's influence there suggests your devotion to your family. Did you have to assume responsibility or some responsibilities in your family at an early age? You plan well for security in later life, and you may wind up taking care of your parents at some point.

The Fifth House is the House of Creativity and Sex (which is one of the chief ways we express our creative feelings). The Moon's presence there may indicate an impulsivity in love and a tendency to follow your heart over your head. That's balanced a bit by the fact that your Moon is in Libra, but still the influence in this House is very different from your strong assertion of self in the First House. In love, in your creative life, in your feelings for children, you may find yourself drawn in ways away from the strong assertion of the Gemini self.

Okay..here is my chart!

Sun in Virgo
Moon in Capricorn
Ascendant in Leo
Sun in the 1st House
Mercury Conjuct Ascendant
Venus in the 1st House
Moon in the 5th House
Saturn in the 10th House

Okay..GR & SalsaChinta..what does this chart say about me!!!!

Conscientious, industrious Virgo is all about self-improvement. While others may see, on the outside, an impression of calm authority, within you are a bundle of restless energy, always wanting to be up and doing. Mercury rules Virgo, just like Gemini--but while the energy in Gemini is directed toward stimulation and adventure, in Virgo the impulse is to accomplish and perfect. You are rational and analytical, tend to be a bit critical in speaking, and can control emotions in ways that other people may find maddening.

Your Capricorn Moon heightens all of this, making you even more determined, responsible, and committed, but on the other hand tending to be rigid, pessimistic, or too exacting. The Moon governs emotions, and Capricorn is a particularly unemotional or at least undemonstrative sign. This is a very effective combination for career advancement and reward.

Your Leo Ascendant provides a balancing force. Rising Leos are usually big-hearted, maganimous, benevolent, and kind. You don't stoop to pettiness or carping, and your magnanimity in spirit makes it hard for you to think ill of others. Expansive Leo helps modify nervous, obsessive Virgo and absolutist, unswerving Capricorn. The conjunction of Mercury is also quite favorable, allowing free expression to your rising Leo personality, and maybe especially allowing those traits to be expressed on a daily basis.

The Sun in your First House (House of Self)--The Sun rules Leo, your rising sign, and it has a prominent place in your horoscope, bestowing enthusiasm, courage, power, generosity, warmth, but also encouraging arrogance, conceit, and egotism. Here it gives you a strong sense of self, making you independent and self-assured--but beware of a tendency to become authoritative or even dictatorial (especially given your Virgo tendency for perfectionism).

Venus in your First House--The influence of Venus here makes you both affectionate and flirtatious, probably a good-looking guy. You're charming in society and you like to have companions with you. Your appearance is very important to you, and you may sometimes spend a little too much money on yourself, as there may be a little bit of a tendency to narcissism.

Moon in the Fifth House (Creativity and Sex)--Your Moon is in Capricorn, which modifies its emotional power. But beware of becoming secretly obsessive, or of churning emotional turmoil covered over by apparent control and non-emotion. Your heart may be more easily taken than you think, and because the heart cannot be governed rationally, you may find yourself up the creak without a paddle before you know it.

Saturn in the Tenth House (Career and Public Standing). Everyone who knows you sees you as industrious, hard-working, disciplined, organized. You are self-reliant, and you have the stamina to see projects through. You may attain high position, but beware that it can be lonely at the top.

In summary--your maganimity and generosity (Leo Ascendant) and your strong work ethic and sense of self is what people first notice about you. Below that there is nervous striving for perfection, and a dogmatic refusal to come to grips fully with your emotional life. Love will set you free, mhgroove.

Tomorrow I'll do Swing Kitten, who has been waiting patiently. I'm still waiting for Jenn's astro chart....
