Hi guys, just a quick note to let you all know that my performances went off on Saturday night without a hitch. Was a bit nervous to begin with for the first one which was a trophy presenation of Triple Swing, but that seemed to shake the nerves out and I was amazed at how calm I was for my rumba presentation. I was actually more nervous when we finished and walked out to the preparation area, my legs just seemed to feel numb and all I could say was "Oh my god", over and over again! :shock: My instructor gave me a big hug and seemed overjoyed with it as well.
All feedback has been excellent and it seems that the routine was really well received. All the routines on the night were top quality, and I feel priviledged to be numbered among them.
Still, two days later I'm buzzing around, haven't gone back to work yet, don't think I could concentrate at all, but will need to pull myself together within the next couple of days so that I can get some work done. After the last 6-7 weeks of preparation, exams, etc the after effects are beginning to show. I finally got home last night, after spending the day at auditions for the next lot of showcases, curled up on the couch and just cried uncontrollably for about 20 minutes. :oops: Just stress relief I think, though I'm still a bit teary today. Whenever I look at the programme I kept from the night, all I want to do is cry. I'm sure all the emotion will settle down in the next day or so, but life will definitely never be the same for me again!
I'm now a seasoned performer!! Wooohoooo! :D :D :D :D
