Just a reminder: Two nights this week. :banana: Atlanta auditions show is Tuesday at 9 pm Eastern - same time as DwtS Results show. New Orleans show is Wednesday is 8 pm Eastern

I hoping Kimalee's audition makes Wednesday's show. Just rooting for the "hometown" girl :banana:
Tonight show wasn't the best of this season. Didn't get as fired up by the dancers. Don't get me wrong, there was some good dancers, it just wasn't anything that got me to jump off the couch with a big "WOW!"
I admired the one dancer, Jessica Jensen, that lost her hand to cancer a year and a half ago. It made her dance look odd, that missing hand, but she did dance her solo beautifully. Too bad she didn't make it past choreography. Another "hometown" girl, almost, as she was from Pensacola, just down the road from Fort Walton (really 40 miles, but still...)

Sure Kimalee will make it with all her dance experience.
And yeah, I really liked Jessica too. I think for a lot of the choreography, even if she went, would have issues with the lack of hand. take a while for a partner to get used to that. If it was all salsa (Which she mentioned going to do after the tryout), think she'd be fine though. I hope to see her back, really liked her dancing.

As well as her ballroom background will get the producers a chance to show somethring beside contemporary and hip-rock. There was nothing in ballroom, salsa, broadway, ballet, tap, etc., etc. on last night's audition (as least that was shown).

I was puzzled by her and another dancer's comment about salsa -- wasn't Pasha and Anya's choreography for a chacha?

It was, or looked it to me. I missed the other comment, but I think her comment was just that she was gonna go find somewhere to salsa that night. Nothing like a good night out dancing to help you get over a bad audition/competition/performance.
Least, that's how I took it.
Definitely Rick. And not just regular ballroom (thoughs he obviously knows that, and I particularly like her and Jesse in smooth), but exhibition/cabaret too, which tends to get even less exposure. Thinking I may have to skip my evening practice so I can get home early enough to watch whole episode as it plays. :)

Yes, it was...but some of the non-ballroom dancers didn't know the difference. :rolleyes: Or maybe they just got the terminology mixed up.

She looked great, as always, Dancingshoes. They both did. FWB, and FA in general, can definitely be proud. :)

Wednesday's show was it for the week, as in "WOW"!
The New Orleans Bounce, as done by Skip, was fun and energetic start. Something new for the national hip-hop scene, but as Skip and his mentor say, it been around for years down in New Orleans. Surprised he wasn't asked to do choreography and just when straight to Vegas.
Micah the B-boy did wonderful, energetic breakdancing. Couldn't handle choreography, so that was his one appearance this season. Kimalee was fantastic. She looks to have a serious shot at the top twenty. There were other in contemporary style who's names I can't recall that have great lines and moves.
Love the cut-up with Adam's demo of Mary's What Not to Do Rules.
What was that one guy thinking, 6 Red Bulls before the audition? It showed. :rolleyes:
When he was fishing for Mary's trademark screams at the end of the audition and she came right back with "You've got to earn thoses." :applause:
I could do without Mary's screams, but the dancers doing the show do see those as a form of high praise, so, yeah, earn them!
It was a great audition show.

Was so excited they interviewed Kimalee last nite. Yes, she's always so humble about her dance, but what a cut up in the studio! We are working with Jesse and Kimalee tonite on our open routines. She says "just move your rib cage to the side & let everything else stay centered", Red's jaw dropped and told her she's only done that once in a car accident.:D lol all around.
Was so glad Mary knew what she was seeing and that it was something special. We're so proud of our "kids". I wish they would dance their latin in the comps. Wow! Ever see the Samba done in Tinker Bell wings?

I don't watch the "entertainment shows" (ET, etc) so I miss a bit of this, but surprised to hear there was a big up-roar over a dancer possibly flashing her naughty bits in Week 4's show.
One of the girls rolled around on the stage when she got her ticket to Vegas. She was in a white short gown, favored by contemporay dancers. Apparently some claim they could "see France" san underpants. Yeah, there was the required youtube video "proving" this.
:confused::confused:
I can't believe this had to be disproved by SYTYCD. Anybody that watches the show knows the females have dance shorts on under their gown.
