Anyone going Seattle Regional this year?
http://www.usadanceseattle.org/nwregional/
checked O2cm registration, champ std already seem to be quarter final.
We are thinking of going, since I've never been there. Since we are also considering doing UK open next year, might be missing MAC so would like get done NQE asap. Seem to be good schedule, champ std Sat night.
Also heard Seattle sitep-seeing nice, so not sure if need half day site-seeing or full day for site-seeing, any suggestions? If full day sight-seeing then we have to book Sunday night hotel to be able to site-seeing doing Sunday after comp, then I will arrive back NY Monday morning with sleep deprivaation and go to work.

Sat night and already a quarter? Definitely sounds like a good comp. Least, for you, since I don't dance am or standard, not much for me. ;)

heh, proam rhythm/smooth. I expect I'll be doing exactly nothing that weekend, as all our top pros in region will be down at FA nationals in Orlando for NDC. :) Oh, except for taking one of sisters out for her bday on the 25th when she gets back from NDC. THat's remotely dance related, chef at restaurant we're going to used to take lessons at another studio in area. Best I can do for that weekend. :P

I've never been to Seattle, this could be interesting. Coincidentally, tonight we were discussing getting back to the comp floor. This has been a tough year for us due to injuries and a couple of family members that passed so needless to say we haven't competed much this year. But, this looks like a nice comp. Who knows, maybe we'll venture out to the NW:p Checking airline tickets now..we need a vacation!

good for you etp, we are happy there is one NQE in October since so quite last 4 mos of the year, almost no major comps except OSB. Other NQE's all happened to be first half of the year, causing some scheduling problems such as MAC sort of conflicting with UK open, other NQE too close to National.

It can definitely be an interesting time matching up schedules in US with rest of world. :) I was talking about hat with FP in relation to showdance invitational at blackpool. COurse, they haven't been invited....yet. ;) But still worth talking about. :D

Actually Seattle Regional potentially conflicting with International which is next week?? since we are not going International this year, so no issue for us.
MAC usually conflicting with UK open, the sat night before UK, so sort of stressed out done one major US comp then fly right out to UK, suffer jetlag right before dance one of the toughest comp in the world.
NJ classic in June used to be a good one, but too close to Blackpool, if you want to take vacation in Europe after blackpool or for some extra lessons, you won't be making it.
Well, wondering why no NQE July or August or so few 2nd half of the year, guess all major NQE sort of conflicting with at least one international comp, the ones not conflicting are way too close to National (like Chicago regional or Bethesta); we competitors just have to try our best to catch one of them;)

Heh, yeah, have seen other complaints about that, and slowly trying to add that to my whole list of things to follow. Heck, this is first year I've had to think about blackpool at all since I've mostly followed rhythm/smooth couples so far. ALWAYS happy to cheer on family/friends though. Just a matter of matching up cheering and trying to keep track of all the competitions, events, etc.
