check them out if u like..
www.clubmayan.com
incase its your first time to visit this site, just click on 'Enter Site' and a pop up window will show with the different products provided..

so.. these are the semi finals and possibly many will know who had won the 3 categories (pro, amat. and int'l) already.. so the thing is who were your favorite in the 3 categories shown?

for me, i dont salsa that way much.. just take what i like from it and ignore the rest.. but i can still appreciate or have taste for LA-Style in terms of entertainment and expression value at least.. so my picks based on just one viewing (first impression) .. i got the best allaround feel from:

Amateurs: Liz & Alex (the second couple from the top of the list cause when u open the video they are wrongly named as 'Nadia & Julio' at the moment)
Int'l: Becky & Fernando
Pro: Maria & Francisco

PS. i think this could be interesting if we post our relative picks so as to see how we are little bit similar or different in terms of choices :D

Mine are the same as yours. I would also add Karina Samuel and Walter E. Jones for Pro as well. :D For amatuer, I also like Marino Pogosyan & Daniel Martinez however the choreography and style bears a striking resemblance to Alex Da Silva and Liz Lira. :D 8) And, it's not a bad thing. Just an observation. I wonder if they coached them. Anyways, "Everyone" was good! :D

I totally agree with you, Sabor. There is a time and a place for the flash/trash aspect, and I can certainly appreciate the tricks and stunts. And while I've learned to do a few of them, they're not something I'd try while social dancing. Still, there are some neat things that can be incorporated, too.

One interesting note: it appears they're trying to create some suspence by not saying who won. Now that I actually have names to go with the faces, I could tell any of you if you're so interested. However, I will not spoil the surprise by posting it on DF. You'll have to PM me if any of you want to know in advance who won.

Interesting - the "International" category is missing most of the competitors from the Semi Finals. Only the top 3 are currently there.
