Yes, I just saw that on MSN. Haiti and the Dominican Republic. They believe upto 1,000 people may have been killed.

It amazes me how some islands are repeatedly slammed with one calamity after another, and others are 'passed over'. I read an explanation once that some islands are geographically situated in the path of storms/hurricanes and others are not. :?
